^^Oh that definitely helps!
Though I hope to see options for dialing down the speed sensitive steering and not having the brakes tied to the steering through an invisible wire. (!)

Tune is all thats needed. This is on the short version of the track and this lap is on the leaderboard. I was in 21st position a day or so ago with this lap.
from the video posted it was clear you were not getting close to the apex of the corner enough. I agree that with such a tight hairpin this is not easy but you were quite a way off so the car was alaways going to hit the wall on the opposite side . try to turn in earlier as you seemed to be far enough on the left ( clipping the wall ) so a s to make the turn . Other than that try tweeking your tuning . It may be understeering to much . Ok on a big track with sweeping turns but not on a track with tight bends.
That is all good advice but the physics need to be tuned to make them more in line with real-world driving physics.
F5 has really good grip/tire physics IMO.
The hairpin at Long Beach is one of the toughest corners in forza 6 for forza Physics. You need to slow down below 35 MPH to start getting full lock with the speed sensitivity on the controller. If the car has a lot of rear grip it will fight the turn. Some cars with a lot of rear grip need some throttle to break the rear traction slightly to get the car to rotate. This is going to take a lot of practice with many different cars to understand how to get through the Long Beach hairpin the most effective way. You are going to make or break your lap in that turn. The left hand turn 10 will help or hinder your approach to the hairpin. You can take the hairpin many different ways but the fastest way is up to your driving style and traffic in the hairpin. Try to coast around apex of the hairpin more than braking and accelerating. What you are fighting is the Forza physics and controller speed sensitivity that is present in every slow corner in the game.
I go to Long Beach every year for the WeatherTech and Indy Race. All of the Indy cars have a Long Beach steering rack installed to be able to get around the hair pin and some of the endurance cars also have a special steering rack. I am amazed at how fast the drivers go around Long Beach with walls everywhere. When they hit a wall it is over. Put it on the hook are scrape it back to the pits.
