Track Verity

Here’s something that’s been an issue in Forza games since 3 when the introduced the Alps track and made you race on that track until you were sick and tired of it. And I just over using 1 track would be the worst of it but then…I play Forza 6 where, there’s 6 tiers and each tier has 9 vehicle types across 3 themed series. “Ok,” I thought. “Perhaps the tracks vary with each vehicle type so you’re NOT racing the same 4-6 tracks 9 times.” No. Turn10 didn’t think of that, apparently. The same 4-6 tracks…9 times…sigh

What’s worse is only one version of Monza is ever used. I NEVER saw the stupid chicane nor the short course ONCE! What’s the point of having all those variations of all the different tracks if you’re not gonna use 'em. Are they in the challenges? What are they hiding there? Also, I like the Racing semi and Limo…but, unfortunately, I can’t actually use them in anything unless I setup a race. Which…I don’t know, I miss Forza 3 and 4 which had the class-specific races so, even if they had added a limo to one of them there’d probably be a race you could use it in for fun. I mean, I can use a Hummer in a race but NOT a stretched limo?

This is why Horizon is better 'cause it doesn’t care what vehicle you use. And why Really, I think the 360 Era was the Golden Era of Forza. Playing 3 and 6 back to back, so much good stuff has been removed…why?

So, Turn10 for Forza 7:

  1. USE YOUR TRACKS!!! Don’t just throw them in the game if you’re never gonna use 'em. What’s the point? So you can have a higher track count than GT? Well, at least they use their variations.
  2. Bring back the grid option for cars. The bar takes too long.
  3. Bring back class specific series.
  4. If you’re gonna do what FM6 did, at least vary the track through the nine classes so it doesn’t get repetitive and boring.
