Hay there chaps.
I’m wondering how the friends bit of the leaderboard works. I’m on the topgear test track. A friend has a 1.22 time, I’ve posted a 1.19 time with no errors on the track. He is still in number 1 position, I’m in second.
Am I missing something?
I don’t know how he got the lap time, I got mine in free play.
Any light on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

If your time is quicker but you are in second then it must be counting it as a dirty lap. You would know this by the symbol being present
If you are doing your racing in free play with mods equipped this could be an explanation. I don’t use them or free play a lot but i believe the blue mods will dirty your lap
To find out for sure go into “Rivals” and race against your friend’s ghost. If you beat it and with a clean lap you will definitely be placed higher
