The Toyota banners up at Long Beach are up because they are there in real life (they sponser the track and run many races of their own there). Also, Toyota is not completely absent from the game, there is a whole selection of their race cars and trucks, so the licensing is still in place. Its the road cars that have been pulled, for whatever reason Toyota may have. We don’t know, nothing official has been said. I suspect this is a temporary thing, and we’ll see them return in the next version or in DLC ala Porsche. The dude running Toyota today is big into motorsports and sports cars, he’s the reason the FRS\GT86\BRZ and the new Supra were developed. Toyota sports cars are built to be modified so if modifications do have something to do with this licensing hickup I suspect its going to change soon. I think this is a case of someone in licensing not being in tune with the market or Toyotas core values. The brand was built on reliability, durability and thus modablity.
Exactly. The banners appear because they are actually on the track, or were on there at the time the track was built for the game. There’s no use beating the dead horse of Toyota road cars and 2017 racing games. No one at T10 is going to answer that and it’s just speculation and hearsay from everyone else.

Whoever said Toyota was having bad sales therefore they aren’t on the game is rubbish. That was taken from a 2009 article via Kotaku or something, let ME repeat that 2009.
I’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, if you want answers message Microsoft, as that was Toyota’s response to all of via twitter.
And yes, Toyota sponsor the IndyCar Grand Prix of Long Beach. Therefore Toyota must be present. Toyota is on all the game, Sonoma and I’m sure banners on Rio too.
I own a Supra, MR2 and an Aristo in real life, so was very dissapointed to learn Toyotas wouldn’t be appearing in the game 
Weird thing is though, there are actually some racing Toyotas in the game (Eagle, Tundra etc) which are plastered in Toyota advertising?..makes no sense to me at all???
