I hope by shutting down the Oct update he means wrapping it up and no more fixes added to get it ready to ship and not cancelling it and adding it to Novembers update. Is there a track coming in Oct?
Yeah I think he meant that theyāve stopped work on the October update and any new fixes with be in the November update.
The current AI used for the penalty system should be able to detect the (no nice way of saying it) idiots who are only interested in disrupting a race, and by this I mean - weāve all been in a practice session where thereās 1 or more idiot driving the wrong way around the track, or just intentionally ruining practice laps by ramming cars, (and 9/10 itās these same people who conveniently forget to brake on turn one, causing chaos). I think there should be harsher than in the race penalisations in practice sessions for this, or even a very bold WRONG WAY on screen and a countdown timer to either disqualify them from the race or turn their cars around.
Because of these reckless bullies who push you off the track and donāt get a single penalty, Iāve considered quitting Forza Motorsport. Itās like in Forza Horizon 3, when you wanted to do a PR stunt, a āDrivatarā always came right in the line you were driving. How was this solved? With āGhostā, thereās no more A-hole coming towards you. I would still be interested in a ghosted multiplayer option. So far I havenāt seen how you can report an incident during a race. If you leave the game, your rating is about 200 points lower. I have also not found where or how to make a recording to report this.
So, Iāve now played for an hour and a half. Thatās enough for me for this week, all āWeeklyā finished. There are plenty of other games that are really fun. Even Forza Horizon 3 is more fun than this FM2023 Multiplayer. There are simply too few players who play FM2023 to equip reasonable multiplayer lobbies!

I once joined an FM2023 online game (group search). The only goal for this group was to ram other players by driving against the direction of travel. They had a lot of fun, I didnāt.
To be fair, I also want to say that I spent some wonderful hours in the group search in Forza Motorsport 2023 with real āsportsmanā/āgentleman driversā.
Iāve been lucky in Forza Horizon 5 so far. I rarely have someone from the same team who rams me on purpose, or I drive away from them after the first attempt.
Honestly, there are simply players who āabuseā a game for themselves. Itās not the purpose of the game, but they enjoy it. Fun at the expense of other players. I only know one thing: Forza Motorsport 2023 has little to do with motorsport. Sport always involves respect for yourself, team members, opponents and referees. Forza Motorsport should remove the word āsportā from its title.
