Erebus here from the TORA Media Team to tell you about the TORA Le Mans 24 Heures for 2014.
This year sees the 5th running of the TORA Le Mans, and the 3rd on Forza 4.
The Famous de La Sathe is one of the most iconic circuits in the world. Along with the Bathurst and Sebring 12 Hours, and the Nurburgring 24 Hours, it’s part of an elite number of endurance races the world over. Le Mans, however, stands out from the pack. It’s 24 hours of pedal to the metal action, where a driver is full throttle 85% of a lap. Once a driver steps into the drivers seat of their car, they morph into the car, become one. They are no longer physically driving the car, it just becomes an semi-conscious ability beyond that or mere mortals. And doing that, covering an entire F1 season in just two laps of the clock, is what makes Le Mans special.
And at TORA, we want YOU to be part of the action.
So far, we have 15 entries, 4 LMP and 11 GTE which will fight it out over the 24 hours for that ultimate top spot and the champagne.
There are good showings from teams such as Le Mans Rensport, bringing 2 GTE teams to the fight, in there two year anniversary at TORA. Happy Cat Racing is also returning from their GTE win at the Sebring 12 Hour earlier in the year fielding 3 GTE cars and the two Maranello Motorsport/Allied Forces Ferraris are back and looking at an improvement from 6th at Sebring. While Benedict Racing, Clean Racers Association and Barry Scott Racing will fight it out in LMP.
There is still plenty of spots available for those who are interested in racing in the event.
Teams are of up to 4 drivers, of which all drivers will share the same car with the same number much like the real event. Drivers will drive for 1 hour and 45 minutes, before distances will be recorded and either you can continue driving, or perform a driver change over with your team mate.
