I dunno if this has been done before on the last forum or not but i thought i would give it a whirl this time around . For those unfamiliar with the original challenge , i shall explain . One of the Top Gear episodes involved Jeremy Clarkson attempting to get a Jag round the Ring in under ten minutes . Whilst talking to a local expert ( Sabine Schmitz ) he explained his challenge to her and was met with laughter and she declared she could get a van round the Ring in under ten minutes . So , the question is , can you ??? . I have uploaded my tune and paint required for the challenge to my SF and i also uploaded a replay of my own attempt ( i got a 9:59:001 ) to my SF , to show it can be done . Now the thing is , Sabine had to do a standing start , so you should have to too . So , go get yourself the Ford Transit , download the tune and paint then go under ten mins , from a standing start , upload a replay and 10 M will be yours . Simples !!!

Sounds like a good challenge, will give it a try.
I’d say the 10 minute lap is certainly possible with that tune. Not easy, but possible.
So far I’m out of luck…
Off the track → Off the track → Off the track → Carousell inside kerb → Roll over → Off the track → Off the track → Bottoming out and ditying lap!!! → Roll over → off the track.

HeHe same for me, great fun trying though, unless its right at the end of the lap when it rolls over. Lol

Well if it was easy , it wouldn’t be much of a challenge !!! . I tried to keep the upgrades as little as possible to get a more realistic challenge . Although there is Forza aero installed , both front and rear are set to minimum DF . There are a few tricky places on the course , at the left hander when the van is doing 135 MPH is a tricky one , then the left hander again at the bottom of the hill following that corner too has caught me out a couple of times and of course , the wee hump that lifts the van in the air into a tight right hander . Hope its an enjoyable challenge though

Welcome cobuser- i hope you enjoy the challenge . I had a few more goes myseif today and somehow i got 1:53:771 !!! . I got no idea where all the extra time came from tbh . I posted a replay of the lap as proof .
Obviously i meant 9:53:771 - would be something seriously faster than a transit van to do the Ring under two mins lol
I have’nt done one of your challenges in a while I’ll give this one go it sounds like fun.

Managed a 9:56.336 Replay on storefront
this is a nice one voldemortt! I was somewhat cautious on my first attempt, a 10:10… the van has a real nice feel to it at that pace. My 2nd attempt I of course felt a little too confident… was on pace to I think squeak in under 10, but of course rolled it near (I think) the trouble spot you mentioned!! I will be trying this one again! fun pushing the lower class cars (van, whatever) thanks!
Nice job on this after 3 trys I got 9:58.869 , I know I could do better with more attempts. I don’t hot lap on the Ring that much, but your tune was easy to drive , predictable and stable well done. Replay in my SF saved as SSV Ring, no need for cr.
First off, love the design. It made me chuckle. Second off, very fun challenge. I managed a 9:52.310. Replay is in SF. There were a few instances I lost quite a bit of time. 2 of those instances should have dirtied my lap time, bit it didn’t. So I might re-run this later.

I had to quit running it yesterday, off track, off track, off track, aarrgghh! Then I got a good, clean run and…00:000.750 over. Oh so close, yet so far away.
But tonight on my first try a 09:57.950.
Replay is up, and time is my personal best.

If anyone is interested in another challenge , i have one for you . . .
I was trying the van out on the P2P’s . I figured the high speed sections weren’t gonna be suitable for the Transit so i tried the more twisty sections instead . The Fuji B reverse was a good test for the van . Using the same tuning setup i managed a time of 3:00:184 . It was surprisingly 754th ( out of 164,000 ) So , the new challenge is to beat the 3:00:000 barrier , usual rules ( replay in SF ) and 10 M prize .
