Ever since I bought the Xbox One about a month ago for Christmas and started playing Forza 5, I’ve been experiencing huge lag issues that I’ve traced down to my latency. At least 90% of the time I play it is above 100 ms, and it constantly has fits where it will go up to as high as 600 ms. I did not have these problem with the 360 so I think the new hardware might be the source for these problems. Anyone know what I should do?
Same issue here and im on 50mbps dl and 5mbps upl. Only had issue since X1
I haven’t checked my actual latency, but when I started playing online last week, I noticed that all the audio of other members was super glitchy (almost sounding Max Headroom like). I also noticed stuttering in gameplay while racing. I started muting everyone else’s mic’s (which unfortunately you have to do individually), and that made gameplay completely smooth, presumably because there’s less data that needs to get sent across the pipe. Now muting everyone is just part of my routine.
Not sure if it’s related, but the internet seems less reliable on my X1 than it did on my X360 as well. I’ve already gone back to using Netflix on my 360 most of the time, as the quality seems better, and it never has to completely stop and re-buffer.

Find the ports for your console and the game and this will cure your problem! My friend had the same issue and this solved it! portforward.com or Google the ports. Plenty of sites out there that will have the recommended port numbers.
Your internet may be having issues, but apparently when you test your network connection it pings Seattle, so if you’re not living in Seattle it’ll give you a huge ping. for example I live in Australia so I get 250 ms ping on the Xbox One, but if I test on my PC and ping my own provider I get 2ms ping. Basically what I’m saying is, unless you live in Seattle, don’t even pay attention to the Xbox Ones “detailed statistics” when it comes to ms ping. I recommend using http://www.speedtest.net/ to test your ping. Unless you’re actually experiencing insane lag every race, I wouldn’t worry about it, ping rates don’t really effect Forza, but packet loss does, you should check that instead, you can check using the detailed statistics on the Xbox One.
