I started to get a loud thumping / banging noise that occurs as soon as the slightest contact is made with another vehicle and continues non-stop for the rest of the race. It’s obviously some sort of glitch as it is not a normal racing sound. Has anyone else experienced this or are there any suggestions (other than to stop getting hit) that could rectify this problem? This is really annoying so any help would be appreciated.
Other members have, indeed, reported this. Restarting the console should definitely fix it; but, I would recommend performing a complete console shutdown by holding the Xbox One’s power button (not the controller’s) until it turns off. Then, restart it.
When I get audio glitches, I’ve been able to fix them by just force-closing the game (Start then Quit from the dashboard). You can see if it works for you; if so it’s quicker than wresting the whole console.

While in Forza Vista check and see if the car has a trunk monkey, they get a little antsy if you don’t feed them on a regular basis.

Yep, heard they like bananas, but if it is a gremlin than don’t get it wet, expose it to sun or feed it after midnight.
i noticed a loud banging noise while racing the other night but when i muted the audio i realised it was the couple next door trying to create a next gen human
