Hi I am having the exact same issue.
Any luck with getting this to work?
ok guys so here i am in 2015 and FEELING SO SORRY I DIDNT LOOK AT REVIEWS b4 actually getting this item(THRUST MASTER TX EDITION) …I just ordered this wheel along with the 3 peddals shifter and stand (glad i didnt get the chair at this point)spent just about 800us ,unbox set up ,GUES WHAT !base works wheels doesnt ,i update on pc which it doesnt state u have to manditory do on pc ,and still nothing …so i spend 800 wait one week for a faulty junk that has been having issues from what i see for few years already you would think they fix this issues already if they continue to make acceseries for it …DONT BOTHER CALLING THEM ,worthless can barely speak inglish…
Just got my wheel tonight and its doing this same issue. Its responds initially for about 5 seconds then nothing. Tried all the usb, reset the usbs, reset my xbox, and nothing. Base guide button works but nothing on the wheel itself. Anybody get an answer on this or find a fix?
Still having the same issue too. Trying to keep this post alive to see if there is a known fix.
I have a similar issue, my wheel is not seen in the xbox one hardware screen, and I only get 180 degrees of rotation in forza 6. I also checked on the PC and rotation appears to be fine. I have tried all the USB ports as above posts to no avail. I also don’t fancy going through the rigmarole of packing it off back to thrustmaster… I do appear to get more rotation in Project cars which has just confused the issue more as if it it were a connection or wheel problem should it not also occur in project. Although I will say it does not feel as positive in that game either compared to when I first used the wheel at the end of July.
My Tx Wheel lose also after 5-10 seconds to connect to the Xbox . On PC it works flawlessly . Does anyone have a solution to this problem ? Any tips from the network were unsuccessful.
Hallo,
I bought the TX Racing Wheel Servo Base and 599XX EVO 30 Wheel Add-On Alcantara Edition a week ago.
Today first plugged into the XBOX ONE, but nothing happens besides calibration (not even glow XBOX home button). The steering wheel is not seen in the Xbox system. I’ve done everything that is connected with the reset USB ports, alsow connected and disconnect several times, but nothing happens, I checked when connected to a PC, upgraded firmware from 48 to 50, in the center control everything is ok, all the buttons work, i can see the steering angle, vibrations in the test also ok. When connected to Xbox - only calibration and nothing else.
What do I do, please help me
I am having a similar problem. I was in the middle of a drift online session on Forza 6, when my wheel suddenly turned off. It smells like a mixture of burning rubber and paint. The light turned off as well, and when I tried restarting the xbox, unplugging the wheel and plugging it back in, and even trying it on PC it just didn’t work.
Anyone with suggestions?
Also-- some screws came loose and won’t go back in! Will this effect the steering wheel?
BTW, I have the TX racing wheel leather edition and the TH8A shifter add-on
i am having the same problem with my ferrari spider wheel(it also lacks force back, which it needs) but i can use it on p cars but not on fm6 and i wanted to use on it on that game but cannot and i dont think there is a way to make it work and if there is i would like to know thanks.
Same thing here I updated the firmware and went through the pc control panel to test all the buttons and wheel rotation and it all registers and even did the simulated ffb plugged it into the Xbox one reset the USB ports and nothing. It would do the initial startup rotation and then just an expensive paper weight. I emailed thrust master and haven’t heard back yet
I have been using my Thrustmaster TX steering wheel for two years now with FM5, FH2, and FM6 and have had no problems to date and been very happy with it in those games. However, last week it started to not be recognized by the Xbox One when I plug it in. When you power it on, it goes through the calibration and the lights come on as normal, but then the lights go off and it is not recognized as a working controller within the XBox One interface. Pushing the buttons does nothing. It performs the exact same way when connected to the PC. In fact, it does exactly as what is shown in these youtube videos below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9xF-wQkMOgBased on my research (see links below), this appears to be a common problem and is related to the USB cable and the breakaway cable piece specifically.
I replaced the breakaway cable and for one day that seemed to have solved the problem. Then the next day, even using the new cable it started happening again. For a couple of days, just trial and error of unplugging the USB connection and the power would eventually result in the Xbox One recognizing the controller, but now nothing. After about 50 attempts in a row no luck. Have now tried three different USB break away cables with the same results. This wheel is over two years old, so I do not believe it will be covered by Thrustmaster, but I have contacted their support as well.
Anyone else have this problem and encountered any other solutions?
I hate to lose this wheel, as I have actually found it to be quite enjoyable. I have never had one of the really high end wheels, but over the years have owned many Logitech wheels, Thrustmaster, TSW, etc. and this one was pretty good for the price and worked well for both Xbox One and my PC racing sims.

Trenro Wired Controller USB Breakaway Cable Cord ($5.49 Amazon)
HDE USB Breakaway Controller Adapter Cable for Xbox 36 ( $1.99 + $2.99 shipping - Amazon)
I had that exact same issue with my wheel but I was just inside the two year warranty. So I contacted Thrustmaster. First thing they did was sent me a replacement breakaway cable (i.e. bit which plugs into the xbox) - but that didn’t help. Then they sent me a complete replacement cable - which fixed the issue. Had to open up the unit and solder a wire but it quite simple.
If it was outside the warranty, I’d have just removed the breakaway part and solder the wires together.
If anyone is still experiencing this problem then here’s a 95% possible cure.
The small jack plug on the inside back of the wheel isn’t at a great alignment to be received by the jack socket on the tx base.
I removed two small screws to the male jack on the wheel and gently pulled out the plug and cable. The rubber/plastic that holds the metal plug had stretched and split as a result of it being forced back when attaching the wheel with an incorrect alignment.
So, no need to unscrew the plug. Just merely use a pair of thin nosed pliers and gently ease the plug forward to create more length. Also make sure all pins of the plug are aligned nicely and that the plug is as close to circular as possible.
As you reattach the wheel make sure the console is running and you’ll know instantly if you have a connection. If not then remove and try again.
Good luck!

I had the same issue with my TX wheel and my Xbox One. After the calibration process, it just shuts down. That happend suddenly, after I didn’t use my wheel for a couple of months.
Had contact with the Thrustmaster support. Sent a video of my issue and they basically sent me a repair kit… that more or less is a new, UPDATED USB-cable… before they send it, they ask you if you can handele the repair, because the new cable has a new, extra connector you need to solder to the mainboard in the wheel. SO BASICALLY, THE ORIGINAL CABLE ISN’T CONTRUCTED WELL. IF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE, GET A NEW CABLE FROM THRUSTMASTER. The cavle comes with a repair manual (so this issue seems to be quite common). They say that the guarantee won’t be affected, although you are opening the wheel… Hope I could help you. Good luck.
My thrustmaster steering wheel connects to my Xbox one but just has the mode light on and not the light by the Xbox button. Please get back to me on this, ANY ONE
I have a Fanatec system–the latest (Wheel Base V2 plus Universal Hub) and Obox One suddenly will not recognize it. I can’t get the green light on the wheel base (indicating I’m connected to Xbox One) only the red light (indicating I’m in computer mode). The Xbox One controller works perfectly. So the problem is with Fanatec.
