Can anyone tell me , is there any special way to set up my thrustmaster steering wheel ?. when I enter a race or test drive I can not steer the car in cockpit view . the wheel seems as though it trying to steer itself also the steering wheel in cockpit view in the game does not turn when I turn the steering wheel . I have to fight to try and steer the car my assist are set to driving line full , abs off, steering to simulation , tcs off . I don’t think you should need excessive force to steer the car
First thing is first, try resetting your USB ports on your Xbox by turning it off, unplugging the power cord from the back, wait about 10 seconds or so and plug it back in. You should have an orange light on your power supply now. Once you do that, plug your wheel into a power socket first, then plug the USB into the side port. That should turn your Xbox on and calibrate your steering wheel. If it doesn’t, turn your Xbox on from the front panel button on the Xbox. Start up the game and see if that fixes it. If not…
Plug your wheel into your computer via USB and open the wheel’s control panel and from there, you should be able to check and see if all the buttons and steering, pedals are working correctly. If they aren’t, contact Thrustmaster.
Thank you very much I will do just that and see if it works
Keep us posted.
Slimmy , I did exactly what you said and it started working correctly . Then I went to the thrustmaster website and preformed the update to 45 as I had not done so yet… followed the instructions and went into my control panel at configured the settings I want . Man , it feels like a whole new wheel now , I AM NOW LOVING FORZA 5 EVEN MORE!!! THANK YOU AGAIN SLIM , AND THANK YOU TURN 10 FOR CREATING SUCH A WONDERFUL GAME .
Glad you got it working and if I had known you hadn’t installed the latest driver yet, I would have told you to do that first. Cheers!
