This is it

So I’ve purchased and played every single Forza game (aside from that Mobile game) and DLC since FM3. I’ve loved this series and was hoping for a comeback to what made FM4 great, but with that greater precision and industry leading physics.

I got the premium add-on pack for my Series X as soon as it was available, though I got the game itself through gamepass as I never pre-order a game. I got the pack because I trusted Turn 10 to make a quality product as much as the best developers.

If by update 12 the track textures, most egregious car models (what, like 10-15?), and lighting/reflections are not to the standard we were made to expect from all of the reveals and gameplay and advertising for the past several years, I will give up and just get my racing fill from Assetto Corsa Competizione.

I’m noting it here as a long time customer and fan of Forza and Turn 10, who feels very much a sense of betrayal right now, so that the dev team, or perhaps even Microsoft might realise that if they want money, because I am absolutely willing to pay for a complete and finished product that is as advertised, I will pay them money. If you do a ‘2.0’ release and solve these issues, work on the sound mix, I will purchase the game. I work full time, have money spare and I am willing to throw money at you if you do what you say you will, but if you don’t I’m simply moving on, and I will cancel my gamepass ultimate subscription.

I know there are many who will do the same. I have thousands of hours in Forza, I love the series, but the quality control and promises are just not fulfilled to Turn 10’s historic high standards.

If you expect that the graphical improvements will match the quality of the presentation, I’m afraid that will never happen.

It would be more realistic to expect some minor graphical improvements on the track and the remake of the very old car models.

Bril I’m literally in the position as you except I played it from the original. You’re absolutely right about the game and so many more points you don’t mention.

Honestly though if you’re only subbing to game pass to play this, then just cancel it right away, it’s such an insane waste of money!

Game pass is incredible and while forza is by far my most played game of all time, I more than get money back by playing and enjoying other games. Past couple of nights for example, I’ve played MW3. First COD I’ve not bought since before original MW, mainly because of the reviews, but do you know what I found the campaign good. So far from the disaster everyone said it was. There’s £100
Saved right there! Them you’ve got Horizon, flight sim, gears, so many great games.

One thing I never see mentioned when it comes to game pass but with MS rewards I reckon I pay for 5/6 months out of 12. It’s an awesome deal but only if you’re in for the games not the game. If you only play one or two games it’s a no brainer to buy them.

I have it for loads of games which I enjoy gamepass ultimate for on console and PC, but I’ve a large backlog I own to keep me going, and I just don’t want to give any more money to Microsoft going forward if this isn’t rectified. It’s in large part due to their greedy and illogical 18 month contract nonsense which has been destroying games and dev teams for who knows how long now. I’ve had each Xbox since the original, but they’re just making the platform pointless now.

Yes, well can’t argue with that. They’ve made some
Really bad decisions and overseen some bad games so yeah tell them where it hurts.

It’s nothing short of sickeningly scamtacular for industry quality standards to have sunk so low that many customers beg for months & years to just get their purchases to function properly as advertised.

…and it’s even worse when consumers are blamed for having “uNrEaLiStIc ExPeCtAtIoNs” as if it’s “dEmAnDiNg & eNtItLeD” to simply want what’s advertised with functional reliability.

If a game is deemed “ready” to sell at full price, it should be fully playable at/from the time of sale.
I don’t pay full price up-front for raw food at a restaurant just for them to tell me they might (or might not) get around to actually cooking some of the food I bought over the next 12-24 months.

If I were a rich person and knew a good lawyer I would probably sue T10 for false advertisement.

The advertisement materials and the actual product are so far apart it’s unbelievable.

Imagine what would happen if Elon Musk would play Forza Motorsport and he would sue them.

So we’re going with food analogies from now on @Operator1!

LoL :chicken: :poultry_leg:

Like a lot of people here, I have been playing the FM series since it’s start on OG Xbox and loved it but I feel betrayed and very disappointed with this entry. It’s like T10 weren’t involved in it at all and some unknown obscure studio has put it together from scraps.

Not only they haven’t delivered on the promised technical aspect but more importantly, after so much time and so many patches the game still CRASHES regularly to home screen on Series X after some races and still exhibits numerous visual glitches.

Looks plain UGLY most of the time too. For example wet road shaders at night look as if they were taken straight from Need For Speed Underground of 2003. They are over the top and unnatural. There is no visual coherence either. At times the game can look realistic enough, other times just ridiculously jarring and off.

It is just unacceptable and inexcusable. The effort and quality is simply not there. I think they should just bin it and start over. And this time really “from the ground up”.

The average feelings of the most loyal players of the licence should have seriously worried the T10 teams. :face_holding_back_tears:

They should not bin it & start over again.
They are the problem.
They would only continue repeating their same missteps & shenanigans.
They do not deserve another cent of anyone’s money or another moment of anyone’s time/“engagement.”

They should not be allowed anywhere near this brand ever again.
As the old quote/saying goes: the definition of insanity is repeating the same things and expecting different results - and they would only continue doing the same things (or worse) again to get the same results (or worse) again.

It’s a mistake/trap to fall for the idea that “they really learned their lesson this time, so they’ll definitely do better next time.”
There can never be a true “from the ground up” under the same leadership.
This series is dead with no hope of resurrection unless it gets different+better leadership.

This is true. The next time around, “from the ground up” needs to start at the studio management level and go up from there.

Actually I agree with this sentiment.

There’s clearly something wrong internally at T10. The current team still can’t figure out how to make something as simple as menus work, let alone fixing other details…

Playground Games did so much better job with FH5. I wonder if they could take on Motorsport too.

This also counts for graphics/performance, bugs, stability, AI, single player career and any fun of the game.

None of the points above are currently existing.
