So is anyone getting Thief soon? I haven’t ever played any of the old ones and am looking into getting it but I am still undecided.
I plan on getting it, it’s been far too long since I’ve played a “true” stealth puzzler game. I miss the mechanics found in stuff like the first Splinter Cell, where sometimes just being seen could mean mission failure. It seems like most games anymore don’t penalize for not being crafty about stuff, even ones that claim to be stealth oriented. Thief looks to be a great genre defining game so far, I really hope it holds up to the standard from games before set-piece action movie shoot 'em ups became the norm.
I just watched the 17 minute gameplay trailer for it. I think it is safe to say I am getting it.
