There is a Dirt dirtrace that is 85% tarmac. I'm beginning to question what the devs are on

Seriously, why? So many of the dirt races are majority tarmac… and so many of them are majoirty tarmax where you just drive in a virtually straight line without having to break.

The 85% is taking the P though. Did they not take one step back during development and think ‘hmmm, maybe we’ve put too much road in this one lads’.

It just makes picking a car even harder because you can go from a 100% dirt track to a 85% road track.

We need community created races in Online Adventure ASAP!!

The problem is the forced starting points - dictated by location and default race type.

The Monte Carlo rally has a lot of tarmac. As do many others.

Rally racing has always been about a mix of racing on dirt/gravel/mud/snow and tarmac.

The good thing is the rally tires in Horizon do well on both dirt and tarmac.

If you want to race on dirt only, you know have route creator available to create your own races.

Very true, but this race I’m talking about is just one long stretch of slightly undulating road that requires virtually zero skill to drive down.

Off the top of my head, almost all the dirt rally races in FH4 that feature tarmac sections have the tarmac sections as long straight sprints between patches of dirt They havent even gone for the techical tarmac route.

Just out of interest, is there anything you actually like about the game Nemesis? I only see negative posts from you on the forums.

Absolutely love the single player with a few small exceptions (like car engine noise, a few of aforementioned dirt races etc), absolutely hate the abysmal multiplayer.

I only moan so much because I want the game to succeed. Blind positivity will get us nowhere. The biggest driver of change in the games industry is loud and vocal criticism.

Multiplayer is what gives a game longevity, they need to fix these gamebreaking issues or risk losing the playerbase.

I like way more about the game than dislike, I just don’t feel the need to create posts expressing my happiness with seasons, car list, whatever.

That’s your take on the gaming industry, fair enough. I’m not suggesting ‘blind positivity’ in all your posts, I would however recommend at least trying to represent a more balanced view in your posts. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

Just making post after post knocking the game, doesn’t in my opinion help anyone. If you have a genuine bug to report, use the support section. If you have an improvement suggestion, use a wish list. The forums are cluttered with all these negative posts, which when you read them are sometimes who even cares if one dirt race is made up of mostly tarmac?

Perhaps it gives you the opportunity to run your favourite car in a race type you wouldn’t normally use it in. Who knows, it’s like one race, run it and move on.

People expect so mutch in forza games and we it dont match all that hype offcourse people are then unhappy and will complain. God what would games be if peoples dont says those negative things what they think are wrong with game. Like this game it’s have so many good things like season etc but it’s not repair that this game is many ways worst than horizon 3 or even horizon 2 was.

And what comes in dirt races, yeah those have way too mutch tarmac, is there any dirt sprint that is only in dirt? There is few tracks luckily that have only in dirt. There wouldnt be problem if one dirt race would be mostly tarmac but when pretty mutch every dirt race have lots of asphalt it take my intestert of dirt races totally off, if i want asphalt races there is own races for that.

Your info is unfortunately a little off, it’s not 85%, it is at exactly 87% complete that you finally hit dirt. And yeah it ticks me off too that they call it “dirt racing” when it is FH3 mixed surface, atleast call it what it is

It’s true the dirt racing has way too much tarmac.

And it’s due to the map design.

The only way to link the dirt sections of the map without going cross country is through long sections of road and the roads are mainly high speed undulating straights.

So for a lot of dirt races, building to perform on dirt guarantees you are going to have a harder time on the tarmac because the drivatars typically have a top speed optimised car that will disappear on the tarmac.

The dirt races from Playground are not great but thankfully we have route creator now to try to make better ones. That said, so far it has not been easy to link the dirt tracks together without long tarmac sections.

If only they had a way of making your own tracks.

I addressed that right?

You can create routes but linking dirt sections without including long straight tarmac sections is tough due to the way the map has been laid out.

The number of true dirt only possibilities is somewhat limited on the current map.
