The Week in Review 5-2-14

This week we say good-bye to a popular and well-loved Forza fan, Doodley Squat. Knowing that he would want us to carry on and celebrate his love of Forza the Week in Review is here bringing you Forza community news and hopefully a little something to cheer you up.

John

Thanks for this tribute. I don’t know him personally but I extend our condolences to his family.

Good tribute. I never had a chance to know him but as in all things forza its sad to hear about it. Best wishes for his family.

I would also like to thank mech for the shout out in last week. Week in review for the spring hunt lady bug bug I did.

Now I need to get ready for the stanford hall retro vw show. Here in the sunny UK… http://www.stanfordhallvw.com/gallery/

First it was a nice tribute… That was thoughtful.

Secondly… I’m becoming really disappointed with the lack of information regarding a patch towards the game. It’s been out 6 month now. Fix the broken features please. I love this franchise, but I can’t bring myself to play it anymore without custom public lobbies and a broken vote to kick option. We still have glitches leaderboards… I can still view locked tunes… Comeon…,

and not to mention being kicked to the dashboard 3 times a night, I read the WIR hoping for some kind of information on this. I’m disappointed every time.

I’m thankful for the tracks, and they’re great, but we need the game functioning properly before we get more tracks.
I would like to see who is being voted to be kicked, so morons can remember to kick them. Waiting this long for a patch is embarrassing for a development team of this quality.

Disclaimer this is my opinion.

As a friend of Dood i really appreciate the tribute. Forza will not be the same without him, but, since he did more than anyone else to keep the community alive, he would want us to keep racing, painting, tuning, taking pics, having fun and making friends.
Enjoy your camping trip, you deserve to for all the hard work you have done, John, for this community.

Nice tribute, didn’t no them but was a nice sentiment.
Liked the history of FM video, although it was tough watching it and seeing all those tracks and Porsches that are no longer with us, hoping for a future installment with all our old favorites back some day

Excellent WIR, John. I was shocked to hear that Doodley passed away, my condolences go out to his friends and family.

The idea about Forza becoming a TV series sounds cool, since I enjoyed watching the FM Showdown; too bad that Speed Channel is now Fox Sports 1, otherwise it would be perfect for a return series.

A Forza Tv Series! yes please! how about doing as Top Gear did…pit real lap times v. Forza times. Stars in cars with a direct comparison between game and track time, use a cockpit set up from different mfgs, 3 screen, motion etc, get the pleabs all excited about the genre. cross pollinate with Top Gear, some of the extreme sports channels, Red Bull, ect. go out to races set up a Forza Pavillion and give them a taste of what its like out on the track, involve up and coming drivers, get the Leaderboard top ten to race actual Race drivers head to head,
there’s more im’e sure

No more Spamwiches… : (
def will miss ya buddy.
They gots even more layers up there

It’s been a while since I took a long break from my forzatography. I am here right now just because of the loss of Doodley Squat. I knew him for the first time in the former photography club NLPi in FM4. Furthermore, our friendship expanded with him as the host of the DLK Photo contests and I had a fun time with him. Forza will never be in it’s heyday without his wonderful well being. I give my grief to his family, friends and others who knew him well. As a result, I will return to the forzatography community going into FM5 to dedicate him this summer and beyond.
