Hello and welcome to my story of my start of forza to where I am now.
I started this game with no racing experience on xbox or PlayStation. The last racing games I ever played was on Nintendo 64 so I had alot to learn to even begin being decent. I started off in career like most and completed the first series with full assists in a Mazda rx8 with all gold’s. I did get a big head from that thinking I was good cause I didn’t notice the mini leaderboard at first.
I ended up jumping straight to S class races in multiplayer and grabbed my favorite car the 2013 Shelby GT500 with just parts needed for S class and no tune. With my extremely limited experience in career and no tune I quickly found myself in last constantly and getting yelled at for driving a “drift” car in circuit races. I had no idea what they were talking about for drift cause I hadn’t seen that in the game yet either. I chose to ignore them and finally found tunes to download and just threw the first one I say on. That turned out to be a worse mistake cause the tune was a actual drift tune apparently.
After weeks of just running my Shelby and learning to drive the drift tune in races I began to get a few wins but still wasn’t getting anywhere in tuning myself so I was close to uninstalling the game and calling it done cause I wasn’t good enough to race my favorite car right. That’s when I was lucky enough to run into my now closest friend know the game xSandHillsx and the people he was running with all the time. For me they were all very good and had some experience with past games so I listened while still finishing last. Slowly I began to get better but was still having issues with my tuning. Sands decided after a conversation we had that he would walk me thru and explain every part of the tuning that he understood. As a result I suddenly understood alot better and built the first setup for my Shelby that was built to my style.
I still ran well behind them cause of assists but I was getting closer every day and then learned how the assists were slowing me down. I wen’t into free races and one by one turned them off with single races lasted 10 - 15 laps each so I could get a handle on them quickly. I have ran down to brake line only, ABS brakes, tcs only, normal steering, and automatic shifting (manual for rivals). I still ran behind them but was right on the heels of the slowest in the group besides me. That’s when the speed demon Al3x Day joined us. He was so fast and the others couldn’t even keep up. I decided he was my target and started pushing harder and changing my driving style to maximize my abilities as I knew I could. Within a month I was ahead of my group and only chasing him but couldn’t quite achieve his skill cause of my tunes I was making now didn’t match my skill anymore.
I went back and returned every car I had bought so far and started what is now Blood Spec’s tunes that are my exact driving style for each car. I have even built a few with xSandHIllsx and we have both improved beyond what we thought we could do. I still can’t catch Al3x Day but he can’t run as far from me anymore and my times are still no where near the top of of the leaderboard but that’s OK. I have no desire to be the best. I’m just finally glad to be in enough skill that I can okay this game how I want and have fun doing it with all the friends I have made during my races.
