ive found that there is a huge battle going on betw… nvm this thread is to show u how to get a tandem setup with angle, speed, and points with this new setup you can tandem with your friends and still have the angle and the points if u need them in a points lobby. dont get me wrong ur not going to beat the points drifter in the lobby but u would damm good drifting and coming in second or first if u push the car to the limit. the tune setup i have is developed by me with the help of motoiq.com and importtunner.com made for real cars but in the game. in this thread u will see things that you’ve never seen before. like a 6.10 final drive ratio. and bump stiffness settings in the 1-3 range. all of this made possible with sport tires and gear ratios. comment your car and engine and ill have a one on one talk and help u get your tune setup tunned perfectly and to your drift style.check out my channel to SlideToDrift - YouTube all of my crew “The Outsiders” and “Sittin Sideways” can tandem and get points we are about 20 members strong and drift every day hit me up with a party inv when im on i will always join and im open to opinions. and now for carsmy main car u will see me drifting the pirate ship

Hi, I’m a huge fan of Silvia, however I have failed over and over again to build a good drift setup on that car. Thus far I’ve therefore been driving my R33 instead which had a bought setup.
If you’d be so kind to help me (tell me) how to upgrade and tune the Silvia I would greatly appreciate it. From the best choice of engine, aspiration and parts to individual tuning items.
Thank you so much

I think what a lot of people struggle with is when they build a car they play with it until it slides well which is fine, but later they find it perhaps handles unpredictably on different tracks or that the way they build cars doesn’t work on a new project. Not to hijack the OP in anyway but it seems he has gone about doing something similar to me…
When I first started out I would buy tunes only to find that nothing ever really suited me well, then I went through a phase of tuning cars myself in no particular fashion just so they would slide but then sometimes it felt like the car was just working against me.
About 5 months ago I set out researching tonnes of forums and articles to actually find out what tuning does in both real life and in the game, though I’m not saying I’m amazing at tuning I now have a solid base to work with and since then I have made a lot of cars including 4 different s15s
If you would like some help on how to actually build your own car that you can then tune yourself just send me a message, my tag is violentsatsuma.
Hi,
Thank you I will send you a message on X1. I’m really not mechanically minded person (I’m an accountant) so intricacies of physics and different forces affecting cars at certain speeds and power outputs are beyond my knowledge (I should really read up about it). So how to tune the car in order to work with those physics I have absolutely no clue about. I bought a number of setups, non of which were quiet right. I can drift and would consider my self an improving beginner touching on intermediate. So the right set up would mean the world to me.
Thanks for both of your attentions and hoping to drift with you guys some time.
Couple things.
Is this a team thread? A setup thread? I can’t really tell what.
Lot of those cars look to be All-Wheel Drive. I went and watched some of your videos, and either FM5 looks weird or that DMax S15 is picking up way too much speed too quickly. Also the Matt Powers 240 on Long Beach looks AWDish too, with the front tires heating up rather quickly, and I couldn’t see much countersteer, though, again, it could just be FM5.

Good luck on the forums and welcome!
Try and atleast keep this thread clean pls nothing not tune setup related
Same boat. Title is confusing but I’m guessing you’re making tunes that are Points AND Tandem ready? If not doesn’t matter because all tunes are welcome because going from 4 to 5 is a BIG learning curve so the more help around here the better.
its all cleaned
Just wanted to say a huuuuge thanks to Heregamer for helping me with setting up my S15 and giving me pointers on angle drifting in this game. It was great that someone was willing to spend the extra time and briefly explain how each part of the tuning will affect the vehicle. Again, Thank you.
Violentsatsuma I will still give you a shout. I was up online last night but was busy working on a DriftWorks inspired design for my S15. The more people I get to know the easier it will be to find someone to tandem with (when I get better).
Yeah no problem,
Hopefully what I have to tell you won’t contradict what heregamer has told you. Once you get a basis for tuning cars it really makes drifting more enjoyable as using other peoples builds just isn’t the same…
KDF BeDoomed if you dont know what KDF stands for you’ll know when you get deeper into the community
Keep Drifting Fun…
…unless it means something totally different here…
That’s what I’m always about, (now you will all bash me) I played Horizon previously, simple physics, easy drifting, but a lot of fun as most of my friends had it and spending all night tandeming and joking around was brill.
Unfortunately with FM5, it’s impossible to find a tandem lobby, went onto Unlimited RWD Drift on events “thingy”, and immediately got a load of screaming kids and adults alike swearing at each other, people crashing to you on purpose etc, etc. Hence why i need to find more friends so I’m not so “ronery” ![]()
I’m sorry for hijacking the thread. Just replying.
all you have to ask is if people tandem i found like 3 yesterday sure their cars werent battle ready but
i got some sexy tandems
Ya, when I first started drifting I kind of sucked for a while (of course), but once I found a tune that worked It just helped me get better. The learning curve was pretty exponential .
