The Loner Thread/Mature gamers - "need Friends" thread! (challenges/rivals? multi-player? VIP?)

OK, I’m not really a loner, I do know a few people with the game, but I’d really like to find some more (mature - in attitude if not age) people who are active (play at least weekly) and like to challenge friends’ times after doing career races, and/or are active in the monthly rivals (etc).

I’m not an elite player, I can often end up in around the top 10-20% (but TBH, if you challenge a time and do a clean lap you’ll probably find yourself in that bracket by default as most people crash or rewind), I’m never pushing for the top times. But, as they say in chess, the best way to improve is to play against someone better than you, so I’d like to hook up with some more Forza players, so I have a nice friends list full of people whose times I can challenge (and vice-versa, as we’d be on each other’s friends lists; if you follow!). :slight_smile:

There’s something far more satisfying in beating someone on your friends list than “You beat Random_player”, type messages popping up. It’s nothing to do with knowing the person IRL, it’s just consistency of having a list of people who you know play at a certain level (relative to you) and who you can aim to beat.

So, if you’d be interested, add me and/or post here (I’ll probably check my followers and just add all anyway, but if you post here as well then others can add you too. Then we can maybe get a forum casual racers group going between ourselves!).

I’ve always found multi-player to be a bit of a nightmare, so I’d definitely be interested in getting together with some others to make exclusive on-line races (again; probably more casual gamers than those at the top of leaderboards. Although; all are welcome!).

So, please, if interested leave a post here.

P.S. I must admit, I did expect a thread like this to exist already (and I suspect there is one), but I searched and had a good look through but couldn’t find one, so sorry if this post should be elsewhere!

P.P.S I’d definitely like to add a few people with VIP, I bought it expecting a lot of exclusive rival challenges (etc), so imagine my surprise! (disappointment!). Having some people to challenge in VIP races might (possibly) justify the price :wink:

Go ahead and add me. I’ll add you, provided I don’t forget (that happens more often as you get older). My recent experience with the public hoppers has shown me that I’m past the point in my life where I can enjoy an evening of being crashed and called names. So, if I am going to race, it will have to be with select folks.

I have a fair amount of rivals experience (specializing in D Class right now) but minimal racing. I promise to sincerely apologize to anybody I hit in a race. And, if I am doing something wrong, please let me know.

Feel free to add me too, UK based, mainly racing in Rivals at the moment (trying to improve driving skill), don’t really play multi-player. Tend to be 1,000-2,000 on LBs, top 1%, so should give you some times to challenge. Good idea, btw.

I am always trying to add to my friends list. I prefer to have a group to play with rather then the Russian roulette that lobbies have become
