The Future of Competitive Virtual Motorsports

You are more than welcome to join the Virtual Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. Season 2 is currently under development but should be ready for launch in the coming weeks. This season will feature Gallardo/Huracan multi class and an international race calendar (Season 1 was in North America).

In the meantime, we will be keeping everyone updated via our Facebook and Instagram pages. If you’re interested or have any questions, feel free to message me on Xbox Live or use the Contact Us page on our website (Links are in my signature; excuse the horrid formatting if you use a mobile device to view the site).

We already know there are more like us, which is great. We just need to know exactly how many there are, what their wants/needs are, and how to meet them with a scalable business model. In prototyping this sort of thing, the biggest obstacle has been taking the concept of a virtual racing series (which currently accommodates up to 24 players and has a set time, which limits participation by a huge amount) and scaling that to the entire Forza user base (hence Leagues, which break down the walls that are time constraints and scalability). I think this a good start to exploring large-scale virtual motorsports competition, but the potential goes far beyond what is being done now. This new “industry” is in its infancy.
