Turn 10 doesn’t care about you. If they did then they would have done/said something at this point. I know they read the threads. I know they see videos like
And please spare me the “race marshal” [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]
You will always have good and bad players, clean and unclean players. It is human nature so why keep posting about it? It is up to T10 to automate the game to take in-game action in real time to deal with untoward game behavior, which I have already observed unfolding, which is cool !
Turn 10 isn’t interested in online hoppers. Basically if you choose that game mode you take what you get. This franchise has degenerated to the point of a arcade game aimed at the masses. The masses contains all variants of personalities who are usually more than unsuitable to compete with.
I spend time on you tube watching race videos. Watched the recent ford Como thing and was surprised to see a YouTuber doing a lap description. Why was it surprising? Well my post would be removed if I said so , but his most recent video is introductory and related to this thread.
Good luck to all the players persisting with Motorsport. Horizon 3 looks great and definitely be playing that. But this game I’ll leave to the diehard fans and the masses.
Still reason why I don’t play online anymore, the experience is ruined by other. If you want clean racing, there are forums out there that
have private championships. A lot of fun, you get to know eachother over time and it’s some of the most intense racing you’ll do.
I stopped doing though, it is a lot of work clearing your schedule and stuff…
But I doubt T10 or any racing game developer can really control the random idiot crashing in to everybody, If you want a professional
rating/crash control take a look at iRacing’s system…
Hang in there guys. I was in a S class lobby last night with 6 fast/clean guys, and the racing was awesome. Felt like the lobby had been locked out, as very few people joined. I do find the number of intentional wreckers is subsiding.
That’s precisely the frustration of the Forza multiplayer experience though; We all know how good the game can be when the stars align, that’s why we keep playing even when it’s not. Turn10 have made a game that is absolutely perfect under the right conditions, and then structured it in a way that makes achieving those conditions almost impossible.
I haven’t entered multilayer player races yet because I believe I still make too many mistakes in free play or career. I noticed drivatars are real idiots. They are way too slow in corners and fast in straight lines. The first corner is always a demolition derby and the first turns are messy. They do nothing to avoid you if they want to pass, they just try to bump you out of the race instead of going around. Sad.
I was watching my sons and their friends playing and they had real fun to crash, ram, bump into each other. A real mess. Kids. That’s why I bought the console. To have fun and teach kids to play in harmony…
I have never been a gamer. Unfortunately, I discovered FM5 that came with the console and started to love the game. However, playing with the controller was impossible for me. It was impossible for me to follow race line and pass properly. So I bought a TX wheel and built a rig. That really helped me. Also bought FM6 in the meantime.
Now I read people complain about this and that. Oops. Maybe I’m doing it. I didn’t know. Because I am not a real car racer. Because all drivatars do it. And because nothing says not to do it.
It’s all about attitude. Demolition derbies are fine, with people who think alike. Clean racers like clean races. I am one of them.
I think there are many ways to improve the attitude of gamers in Forza. I don’t pretend to have THE solution, but here are some of my thoughts.
Education. A “race engineer” could teach racing etiquette, dos and don’ts, explain dangerous behaviours while playing. How long before being allowed to deactivate this feature? What level to be reached before being allowed to enter public multiplayer games? To be discussed. (Forever? ;-))
Establish a gentleman score based on telemetry / attitude. Leagues could set a base score to enter and decide case by case if they let in driver under the minimum score.
Carreer/Freeplay; exclude drivatars until they drive to a certain gentleman/technical level. Or at least let the user set the technical level for his game.
Carreer/Freeplay; give significant time/position penalties for unsportsmanlike behaviour, and explain why via replay.
Back to point one, why not start with a racing school before entering career mode? It could teach many things such as braking, cornering, passing and many others I ignore myself.
All decent ideas that have been suggested many times, and I hope that T10 will look at ways to celebrate and gamify racecraft in future titles, but they could actually improve things vastly without developing any new gameplay systems at all; all they really need to do to make multiplayer 1000% better is make private lobbies browsable from within the game. Do that and the players will police MP themselves.
welcome to the world of online racing, I personally, cant believe that in this new all singing all dancing FORZA that people are allowed to cut the track with no penalty! this allows the idiots in.
My advice is to buy project cars, yes its not perfect and yes it has a few things that will frustrate you but, no cut track options.
pop along to “thedsrl.com” this may relieve your frustrations.
there is a facebook group i am a part of called Fast and Clean Racing. lots of great members there and they are very active AND strict. shenanigans is dealt with swiftly and firmly. you guys should check it out.
Seriously normally racing against the Ai is the only option to online destruction but t10 has done a really good job of Ai emulating wreckers.
What’s the answer?
Eject the disk and place it on its cover to collect dust.
Sad but true.
