It baffles me how the most basic things are missing in H4 that we had in H3. And excuse me if it’s been said but it needs to be emphasized.
Here’s my bulletpoint list of most important
-
no collision off racing. Most important fundamental thing missing. I refused to play with collision on in H3 like many others. The real racers, the actually good ones, did the same. Its Not fun to be rammed on purpose at every opportunity they get. It lacks realism. It lacks skill. It’s a game style for children.
-
the option to vote what class… I have no idea why this is missing. We would be nice to vote what season as well.
-
no option to exit except when a race starts. Causes a lot of collisions at the start. Pretty stupid.
-
Freeroam Rush. Its pretty dumb after awhile. I mean if you’re going to include it only make it one event.
-
Lacks individual racing. Team only? Give me a break. Keep it but make it one event.
-
No leaderboard times. I can sort of see why this is missing because it’s team only races but I want to see a time.
H3 had everything this game needs to be fun and last a long time. All H4 really needed to be was a new map, more cars, a better PI system and look better. Don’t mess with a good thing.
The lack of a proper rivals is ridiculous. No times, and class restrictions. Far less replay-ability. I’ve always perceivedtimed races and rivals as what defines Horizon. And whoever made the rivals events I have questions. You give me a RWD McLaren Sienna with a million HP and don’t bother to tune the cars differential and gearing. I can’t drive it 10 feet without losing control. I didn’t bother to play most of them because I knew they’d all be like that.
And seems I’ve competed all races already. If it weren’t for the promise of a track editor I don’t know what to think. What would I do? I’ve worn out the fun factor of driving around aimlessly in H3. I enjoy detailing cars no doubt, But I’ve already done the ones I like to drive.
