I have a 5700x, 32GB of RAM and a RTX 4060. Even on Low settings at 720p the game struggles to reach 60fps and dips to 50 or 40fps.
I have clean installed Windows 11, re-installed Forza Horizon 6 completely, updated the nVidia drivers: nothing works. I get horrible performance. I tried ReBAR on and off, starting the game with no USB peripherals, only my controller, only the keyboard, plugging only one monitor, nada.
I cannot understand what’s going on other than it being something specific with my hardware configuration. Other people with the same GPU are having around 100fps with Extreme settings.
Either way, I need help or a fix ASAP.
I paid for the Premium version to play it and it’s frustrating.

I got almost the same specs just a intel core i7 13700k, I’m getting 130-170fps an all scenarios but the real case is that, my brother bought the game tho, and he have a hp omen (laptop) i7 10gen and 3070, 16gb and nvme, and the game it doesn’t matter what setting doesn’t go above 45-60fps I believe could run 480p and still the struggle, is something of the game (he have the steam version got patch 18/05/2026, I download the game from Microsoft Store, and k install his game from steam and all good) we need to wait until they fix it
You might be CPU bottlenecked on that hardware if you’re turning down the settings so low.
Also, if you’re upscaling, make sure to NOT use performance or ultra-performance. FH6 uses DLSS 4.5 for those upscale settings, and they’ll tank the framerate of any non 5000 series card. If you feel you need it, you can force DLSS 4 or earlier in the nVidia app, though I recommend trying a higher setting first.
Sorry if none of this applies to you, sucks you can’t play. I had similar issues with the launch of FH5, except it was less about performance and more about constant crashes. I hope this helps, it sucks to be locked out of the product you paid for.
It is the same for me. I have a 5070 and a Ryzen 5700X3D => the game run 25 fps in ultra (recommended extreme). Benchmark suggest a problem with the GPU but I have the latest driver (I even used DDU…) and 5070 should be more than enough. All other games run 144-165 fps with no problem.
I hope to see a patch soon, my game is unplayable.

I have a 5090, 9800x3d and 64GB 6000MT/s RAM. I have the microsoft version of the game and my FPS is still lower than expected from other videos I have seen on systems with the same specs. On the extreme RT preset I am getting 40FPS in the benchmark, but I should be seeing like 70FPS. I have checked my utilization and everything looks good, CPU 30% / GPU 100%. I have also checked temps and they are not throttling. My M.2 is also in the correct slot so it is not halving my GPU bandwidth. I have tried reinstalling the game, turning off V-sync, limiting my FPS and even turning off reflex because in some games it hurts performance. But I cannot get it to the same performance, I have no clue what is causing it. Hopefully it is a problem with the Microsoft version of the game and they can fix it soon.

I can exclude that it’s because of the Steam version, I guess. Have you checked for power draw? A user on Reddit posted that his card was drawing less power than usual despite being at 100% usage (90W instead of 280W). I’m currently installing msi afterburner because the nVidia app reads 0W usage for some reason.
Try disabling Resizable Bar in Bios turn off V-Sync in game, force v-sync in your graphics card settings for the game. I have AMD Machine I did similar thing my stuttering was gone.

Both XMP memory profiles
Forcing the mobo to recognize the GPU as a Gen4 instead of Auto.
Nothing.
Like the other person on Reddit, the game is only using 80W out of the GPU. It’s either something with the nvidia drivers or the game needs a patch.

Funny you mention that, I’m running an rx 9070 and at maximum I’m getting 81w of draw, opposed to the many hundreds it could be drawing on any other game. Same 40-50fps issue no matter the graphics level.

I don’t quite understand… I bought the game yesterday and i played it immediately after finishing the installation, and the game ran fine ~60fps with the medium graphics preset. Today I tried playing the game again and I’m getting an atrocious amount of stutters with around 30-40fps with the same exact settings…

Same thing. Past few days, performance has been absolutely stellar. Today, it’s been awful. I really don’t think it’s my rig, something else is going on. For reference - AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d, 64gb ddr5, 5080 gpu. Was easily holding 120fps the past few days at extreme RT (with DLSS4) and today I’m struggling to keep it above 50. Nothing has changed except the day of the week.
/Edit wanted to post an update but not really a new comment. I closed the game to check for new drivers and nada. But I noticed my GPU usage was still chilling around 11% with nothing going on. Closed the only thing i had open, Discord, and fired up the game. Performance is fine now. It might have just been Discord… for me at least. Sigh.
I see, unfortunately discord isn’t the problem for me and I haven’t found a solution, I really hope this gets fixed soon…
Not to mention, I was mingling through the graphical settings and even tried all the different anti aliasing settings… and no matter what i changed it was still just stuck around 40fps
My rig is also gpu bottlenecked but the use percentage keeps fluctuating between 70-90%~ rapidly when it should not be like so.
Exact same issue - 5700x3D, 9070, 32GB of ram. Game is on NVME.
GPU usage is at 99% no matter of the settings really and the game draws up to 120W instead of 220W. On low settings i get 70fps, on ultra / extreme without RT 25

Same specs but I had this from the beginning. I thought my GPU was just outdated for this game but nevermind then. Hope they fix this.
I’m on 7900xt, 7800x3d, 64GB DDR5 and Fast SSD. The Game runs smooth with 60FPS, but micro stutters every 30Seconds or so, Frame times go to Moon.
Even when I lower the Settings it runs smooth 120FPS, but with the same Stutters.
Tried: Controller on USB, VSync in Game, AMD wise, locked Frames, unlocked Frames… doesn’t matter. Something 8s not correct working.
