Televised forza type races

I’d love to watch races on the tracks from fm6 but I can’t seem to find any.

I know nascar does races at Watkins Glenn but that’s about it…

Please let me know if you can think of any.

Thanks guys (:

If you go to www.ManteoMax.com and click the FM6 spreadsheet link I have a tab for World Racing Tracks that shows the FM6 tracks and real world series that race on them. Also at the site I have a link to my calendar bit.ly/ForzaCalendars which has an Automotive section which I update with tv viewing times for most major series.

I’m assuming you’re in the US, so I’ll talk US TV networks.

The United Sports Car Championship races on most of the US tracks in Forza. It is televised live on Fox Sports 1 most of the time. The World Endurance Championship also races on several tracks featured in Forza and is also covered on Fox Sports 1 and/or 2.

DTM and the Blancpain Sprint Series race on many of the European tracks, and CBS Sports broadcasts them, albeit delayed, not live. CBS Sports also carries V8 Supercars; the Bathurst 1000 is coming up this weekend. I’m not sure what coverage there will be of that race. Usually there is an online stream, but not full live TV coverage.

NBC Sports covers Formula 1, and provides good live coverage including qualifying.

If you don’t have a cable/satellite service that carries the above channels, some of the racing series mentioned above do provide online streaming, although it may be limited to certain times or to certain on-board cameras only. If you end up watching a stream without commentary, the Radio Le Mans website has good audio commentary streams for the WEC and sometimes other sports car racing events.

The F1 Grand Prix of America at COTA is on Halloween weekend; practice session 1&2 Friday; practice 3 & Qualifying Saturday, race on Sunday. Coverage is on NBC sports, and I believe (though not sure) the race is on NBC proper.
