I’m new to Forza and having a problem in career mode.
I understand how to bring up telemetry and how to go through the different screens while racing or when viewing a replay after a race. What I’m having a problem with is before a race. I want to tune my vehicle but am older and not adapt at reading the telemetry while on a test drive. Test drive itself doesn’t provide a way to replay after the test drive and test drive is the only way I can see to practice a circuit before a race. I would just pause while test driving, but the telemetry disappears from the screen when I do that.
Is there another way to warmup/practice a circuit before a race other than test drive?
Is there a way to record telemetry so I can view it later to tune my vehicle before the race?
Is there a way to record a test drive session or to keep telemetry on screen when paused?
I think i figured it out. You can’t do it from your career pane. You have to back out and go to Quick Race, then Hot lap and load your car from your garage. Run however many laps you want and when you quit race, you have the option to replay. There you can turn on telemetry while watching the replay.
For someone new to the game, I’ve got a lot to learn as to the way Forza is laid out, menus, etc.
go to the free play menu then to hot lap you can run as many laps as you wish when done save your replay (to do this you need a either a hard drive or flash drive for the 4gb 360 or a bigger console hard drive)then your telemetry will be there aswell you cant view telemetry before a race but while in test drive you can tune on the fly in the pause menu also telemetry is not available from the pause menus as there is no data being transferred at that time
Yes I agree with the method that onelap suggests, which is tuning on-the-fly. To do this, just get in the car you have upgraded, then go back to the Upgrade Menu and enter Test Drive and select the track you wish to tune on. Note that you have the option to also set the Difficulty by selecting “X” while choosing the track. Once you’re on the track, just press up on the left D-Pad to enter Telemetry and press Start to enter the Game Menu where you can Tune Setup. Just remember to save your tuneup if you’re happy with it.
