It looks like the '65 Mustang is the weapon of choice for C-class muscle cars at Watkins Glen Short.
Just for giggles, I took the H.M.S. Plymouth Cuda out for a sail, and with a favorable wind, managed to put a 1:22.933 on the rivals leaderboard before returning to port. 
…So, Challenge #1 completed.
