It was the Fastest Production car in the 60s doing the flying mile at 168.15 mph and a top speed of 170.78 mph These are speeds that took the Lamborgini Miura P400 to break several years later.
a 14 second 1/4 mile, Fiberglass body, Supercharged V8.

Avanti outlived it’s builder by a lot of years! Studebaker died in what? 64? But the Avanti II lived on through the late 80s at least! This car was way out ahead of it’s time and deserves to be preserved in FH/FM. No doubt.
