Stuck on Recommended Designs

I’ve just started the game.

I selected my first car which was the AUDI S3.

I then got the RECOMMENDED DESIGNS screen but nothing came up and I don’t know what to do next.

Please help!

Press Y to close the box and choose a colour instead … you ought to be able to move on at that point. Be aware that the first five or so races are back-to-back, and you have to finish them to get back to the menu.
