Okay, it is 7:30pm on February 14th, 2019 and Forza Horizon 4, is STILL telling me that the car pass cars won’t be available until 2/14/2019. This ISN’T the first time this has happened. I’m sure they’ll be available tomorrow…the 15th 'cause…Actually, I have no idea. Why can’t this game read the calendar properly? Or do they become available at like 9pm PST and who ever designed the alerts didn’t bother adding in a time because NO ONE thought it would be frustrating to try to get car pass cars and have them still locked? Did someone forget to make it am instead of pm? Because that would make sense, but the fact that it’s 7:30pm and that hasn’t been fixed means that either everyone is too busy to care or just don’t. “Ah, they can wait 12 hours.” I mean, I guess, on the plus side, Forza Horizon 4 is well enough optimized that it can recognize that I still have an appropriate graphics card unlike Forza 7 which just forgets graphics cards and drivers are a thing.
But…I know, it’s a “small thing.” But two issues with that: 1. The unwillingness to fix a simple time code error in a quick hotfix or at least had a release time with the date kind of shows the state of the franchise. It’s dead. I understand. No one knows when the next Forza game will come out if ever. MS killed it. and 2. The cars and the whole “two-a-week” thing is kind of the focus of FH4. They even bragged that they’ve given out 42 cars. (Which…is actually not that much if you consider Gran Turismo Sport is at 110 cars) So, when DLC cars are late on DLC Car Release Day, and the game essentially tells you it’s NOT that day…it hurts the quality of life for the game. I want that TVR. But…it’s fine. Both the TV and the Caddy are in another game that…I’ve actually been having MORE fun with: The Crew 2. I’ll just play that.
