Steering Glitch with Fanatec PWTS

In the past month, when I sync my wheel, the game doesn’t change the steering from controller to wheel. So my force feedback, dead zones, and everything that involves steering is not working properly after the sync. I have tried everything from resetting all game options, recalibrating the wheel on PC, glitching the steering in-game, etc. The wheel works perfectly on PC. So I’m almost 100% positive it is the game and not the wheel. It worked one time in the past month but after joining an online game the issue came back.

So, I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and possibly knows a way to fix it. I believe it has to do with a glitch in my game save, but that would require deletion to fix it and I’m not willing to do that. It seems that both times it has happened was after joining an online private session, so I’m not sure if that has something to do with it or not. Any ideas is much appreciated.

For a start, it is highly unlikely (if not impossible) that your gamesave or game mode has in any way affected the wireless communication between your wheel and console.

You should check your in-game wheel settings for any changes as well as the wheel’s onboard tuning menu.

If neither of those are at fault then all you can really try is to make a fresh wireless connection to the console and reset the wheel’s tuning settings.

Again, if neither of those help then your issue will more than likely lie with the wireless hardware on either the wheel or console. Testing with a different wheel or console will be your only real way of troubleshooting the problem.
