Installed Horizon 4 last night. Xbox One (not S or X). Enjoying the game, however, there steering input (controller) feels a bit delayed. Is this normal? Is there a setting I can change?
I’ve played Forza 5,6,7 almost every day for past few years - did not get Horizon 3 (I did get Horizon 2, though). I’ve never felt this delay before. It’s maybe 10-20ms, but throws timing way off.

I am experiencing the same thing and even more.
I cant even use my Xbox One controller anymore.
It worked for the first 6 hours that I played, but not anymore.
Wired or wireless. Works for a second or two in windowed mode, but not longterm.
Stops working quicker when in Fullscreen.
Very confusing/frustrating as I didnt change any settings that would affect this.
Dont want to play with mouse and keyboard.
I’m having the same issue.
Xbox One console, standard and elite controllers are the same. It’s definitely in the 10-20ms region. Makes driving rally cars nigh on impossible as you constantly try and correct the delayed input, meaning you just spin.
I’ve switched steering assistance on and off, it’s slightly improved with it on but I’d rather have it turned off.
I do have the game installed on an external drive, is this likely to cause an issue?
You get the same thing with controllers and wheels at the moment - it’s actually easier to play with a keyboard in some respects, as all the cars feel like an oversteering mess through controller/wheel because of the delay.
I think I may have solved my issue, turns out it was my TV causing the delay. Happened upon a thread with the same complaint in Horizon 3 and they diagnosed their issue as TV. I reset my TV back to default, went back through the setup and switched my xbox to HDMI 1 input and the delay has gone. TV is LG, I can post the model number if anyone is interested.
I imagine the TV was doing a bit of processing and it was actually the picture being delayed as opposed to the controller being delayed.
