I’m new to FH2 and love the game so far, but I’m wondering why I start every race in position 8 out of 12. I thought maybe as I progressed in the game that would change but so far it hasn’t. I have been playing for a couple weeks and have moved up to level 27, but still start each race in 8th. Is that just how it is for some reason? Thanks.
If you are referring to single player modes, yes–you always start in the same position every race. It’s how the game forces you to race against the AI, even if just a little bit, instead of starting at the front and leaving them in the dust.
There is an exception - the Finale.
I run my second finale as a test run for my cars, so I always quit out of the race before finishing it so I can repeatedly run it.
A few times I have started in position 12 and once I started in position 2! From there I have also been placed at all other positions in the field except position 1.
I’m not sure what determines the starting position for the finale. I actually haven’t run it very much recently as I’ve got a nice set of favourite cars for rivals but am certain to again once I decide to change up my car set.
