I took this pic Sept 21st, Oct 4th, 8pm, but now when I check the store page, it’s blank.
I’m in the Dom. Rep. so maybe it will be at another time the same day I guess.

@sizascompa Yeah so that sounds accurate. Your time is GMT-4 meaning that it is 4 hours BEHIND UK. UK is the standard release time where it is released at 00:00 5th October. So that may have just reinforced the idea of a global release then. The picture I uploaded says the opposite though
What I don’t understand is the picture I uploaded. Can you make sense of it? The picture implies that NZ is 12 hours BEHIND UK when it is infact 12 hours ahead? (Lets just say it was because I changed the location in the settings from UK to NZ yet the Xboxs console clock is still set to UK, then shouldn’t the MS store show 00:00 5th October if NZ is 12 hours ahead? (Accomodating to my Xboxs clock which stays with UK despite location change) But in keeping with how this has flipped it it 24 hours before the NZ release, shouldn’t it just say 12pm 5th October which is when it releases for NZ?)
Man I am confused haha.
Noticed this as well. Not sure if we have an official statement yet. I guess we may not know until the actual moment. I’ll be checking constantly. Can’t wait to put stupid amount of laps on this game.
How did you notice it aswell? What did you see?
What do you make of my dilemma? Time zones always mess with my head but in this case I can’t even confirm yet, ahhh!! Lol, this is so ridiculous for me lol haha.
Same here man! Haven’t played a motorsport for almost 8 years! In my forum post history it even shows that in 2021 I played a bit of Forza 6 but that was the last game I bought in 2015 haha! I opened over 1000 prizes in that forum post as I recall power leveling like mad in from 2015-2017 haha! Forgot I did that and only opened them in 2021.
I think this new Forza will be good despite my initial troubles with the game. The UI looks really clean and that makes a huge difference. The title menu/showroom soundtracks remind me of Fm4 and even Fm6 which is amazing. Little things make a big difference and finally we have a Forza to utilise the Series X without dialing it down for Xbox Ones and their 2013 technology.
Are you going to smash out the career mode? I will probably do that.
I don’t understand the surprise. All games are like this now.
so by the “eastern-most time zone” they mean in the US right? not the entire world?
it means an october 5th 12am east coast time release, right? and the rest of the world adapts to this. Meaning for example here in Germany this would mean 6am in the morning of the 5th october. Correct?
ahh my bad i was reading to fast, i overlooked “in each country”. thank you for clarifying. Well, ok then lets wait for the official announcement in the next few days
I am confused, so now we are saying it is a rolling release again?? I thought we concluded that it is a global release?
You think the game will release like Fh5 did by releasing at midnight all over the world thus making the New Zealand trick work?
Pretty sure it will be everyone at same time from what I’ve gathered
8pm est just like all recent games
Starfield came out at 8pm my time and came out for everyone in the world at the same time
The MS store is contradicting itself. At the moment it seems like a global release, but this MS Store picture I captured could be a glitch?
See this guy here earlier on in this post.
His release time where he is showcases a 8pm 4th October release. That correlates with a global release as in UK that is precisely 00:00 5th October. He is in Dominican Republic which is 4 hours behind me, so that aligns nicely. The release is the same globally.
However the picture I posted is showcasing what seems to be a rolling release or a midnight for each timezone type of release? (As midnight/00:00 on the 5th in New Zealand would be 12pm in UK on the 4th??). But the picture is showing 12pm October 4th (UK time is my assumption since when I changed the location on the Xbox to NZ, the internal clock does not update) which corellates to a 00:00 5th October NZ release since NZ is 12 hours ahead of UK.
So, the MS store is showing what would seem to be a rolling release which contradicts what I thought would be a global release. Seeing as how the release is based around UK 00:00 5th October, other countries have their times set according to that. E.g, in NZ that will be 12 hours later at 12pm October 5th so we all experience the release at the same moment in time to achieve a global release.
What do you think haha.
Man, even the guy you quoted says it works. He is just saying that it could be a violation and stuff which I agree with.
Your argument with me is to suggest that the NZ trick doesn’t even work in the first place aside from any violation. I swear you can’t read.
Lol, saying I called you a liar. Your little test just had nothing to do with the NZ location trick.
I hope I can pre-download it on Steam. Still no word on that.
Nobody said that and stop trying to go in depth on how things work and focus on the main thing here. Why are you struggling to understand anything at all. A staggered release doesn’t change your geolocation, nobody said that. You have to manually change your location in your Xbox settings to hop onto NZ releasse times to play 12 hours earlier or you’ll have to wait until it releases in your own country.
I am not trolling nor am I trying to be rude. Just answer how people have been doing the NZ trick on rolling releases for years yet you say it doesn’t exist and doesn’t work. The guy you quoted says it works but you ignored that aswell for some reason.
Take a look at that video I linked in the other thread and let me know what you think.
Haha yeah I agree. It is confusing but we will see. When do you think it will be announced? The release date is only a few days away now haha. Fh5 was a rolling release as you said so eh, this could potentially be a rolling release too. I’m not sure though as the guy in Dominican Republic has his time correlating with my UK 00:00 release which suggests a global release, hmmm. So it sounds like both at the moment?? LOL
Also, who do you think is right between me and banjacked? He explains random stuff then says I am ignoring his “evidence” yet he keeps saying that the NZ location method on the Xbox isn’t a thing and that it doesn’t work ignoring years of people posting about it and even doing it for Fh5 which is hilarious. I’m somewhat unaware but if everyone does this spread all over the internet then why would it not work all of a sudden lol. I think he is messing with me, I don’t know why though. It didn’t work for Starfield apparently which was a global release which makes sense. But it does work for rolling releases/midnight releases right? It just doesn’t work with global releases as with global releases everyone experiences the game at the same moment in time right?
See my last thoughts on the subject.
When exactly is the release time ( 5th Oct )?
I meant to say, what time …
Timer says 1:00 AM GMT, 5th. I don’t believe it will be later than that, if sooner, great.
Today we announced the specific times for each country’s time zones. I’m locking this topic.
Head to the following topic to discuss release timing:
