Lol funny wish list…I wasn’t stating that I wanted them in the game but more discussing the reasoning behind the TG attachment to FM5 and should they be in the game or not…I really wouldn’t wish a diesel Astra on anybody if there was a choice but what do peeps think? Might be good having seriously slow cars in there so the TG star race can be recreated but seems a bit of a stretch given the current rating system to include a standard Astra.
I do not want an Astra in the game. More interested in whether it would fit in the game given the current rating system. I’m missing the lower class cars from FM4 to a degree but there seems a shift from all cars to halo cars.
I would like to see a Rival race at TopGears track with that car, stock, one lap just like real life.
Would be awesome. 1 lap only from stop.
What would be even better is to have it locked to absolutely no assists.
Totally agree that would be a blast no tuning, just a go at the lap with the car for time- simple
Shouldn’t have it locked to no assists, that limits a lot of people. Top gear has and will continue to have both an auto and a manual version as they always have had, so why would that be limited. Being a stock astra i can also assume it has abs, and surely some form of traction control. Maybe they should do the opposite and only allow you to use abs and tcs as as that would add more realism to it. TCS may be able to be turned off so maybe with/without tcs.
I know they had this rivals event in Forza 4 with the Kia Cee’d and would love to see it return for Forza 5. I spent countless hours on just this one rival event. It was a lot of fun.
This has spec rivals challenge written all over it. That would allow them to put it in the game without mking it purchasable.
Loved it in fm4, not just cause I own a Kia Ceed (albeit the 3 door 2.0 diesel)! Single lap, standing start, stock car. Great challenge to reach a good leader position and great fun getting there.
By the way, the astra in top gear is a 1.6 petrol, not a diesel. I think it is a bit strong to say you wouldn’t wish it on anyone, i would love more variety in the line up. Supercars are not so super if there is nothing more mundane to set the context. Bring on eco diesel racing! Bring on the quirky, the unloved, the dull, the sensible!
I agree this sounds awesome!
