I prefer to play with my friends online versus in person actually. I don’t have to travel, or do any preparations for having company. Plus I can keep my Xbox in my bedroom. Online + Mic is just more convenient I can imagine for most.
Who else is dissapointed at the omission of cockpit view in splitscreen? I thought this was something they should have added after 5

I’m sure they did not add it because of performance reasons. Even worse there are no drivatars allowed in splitscreen. Im sure having at least 10 drivatars in splitscreen races would be possible without any performance problems. These 2 player races get boring very fast for my friends. I try to pretend to be much slower, so they still want to race with me. It was the exact same problem with Forza 5.

I love the split-screen racing!
But yeah, it would definitely have been cool to add the cockpit view… especially since now lots of us have 50-60+ inch TV’s where things would actually be visible. Although I think using that view made the sounds a bit tricky.
(Forza 6) Split screen should include drag racing, open air field, open garage, and if possible weather and AI drivers that would make it amazing. Hands down

Hello, So I just got Forza 6 and I really enjoy the singleplayer career. But my biggest dissapoint is that when I play splitscreen with my brother, he cant use cars in my garage? We’ve played so many hours together on forza 4 drifting using the same garage and I thought that was how it would work in this game too since it has splitscreen, but it doesnt? I just bought another xbox one controller so we could play together and if there is something i’ve missed please tell me but we’ve tried pretty much everything. Also there is no cockpit view in splitscreen like in forza 4? 
Unless there is some info about this I will be returning the controller. We can’t afford another Xbox live subscription let alone another xbox one to play and specifcally drift together.

It can only be described as a major technical issue. I have forza 6, and when I add a second player in free play, all night and rain maps disappear. I know this has to be a mistake, what company in their right mind would release a split screen feature, if it wasn’t finished yet. When can I expect the dlc to correct this major bug with the game? And don’t tell me that the game and console can handle 24 car races in the rain but can’t handle two in split screen. I’ve read through the forums but haven’t seen an answer from turn 10 about this issue. Surely if there’s enough people that want the split screen feature, that they would put it in. There was huge demand for night and rain, so they put it in. Why the hell would turn 10 think that no one would want to combine the two. Now this sounds like a rant, but for a hundred bucks, this game should be more golden.

Bought a Forza 6 yesterday.
I have been trying for a couple of hours getting split-screen to work, but can’t understand it. No problem racing against others online, but not with my son sitting next to me !
How do I enter split screen mode ?
You go to " free Play " and choose splitscreen. But Splitscreen for me was the worst splitscreen ever. I wrote this in another thread. Hopefully the splitscreen option for you is great! For me it was not.

I’ve been waiting to hear from people what they thought of the split screen. I was upset when in forza 5 they got rid of the ability to share vehicles in the garage between the players. We returned the game the same day because it lacked this feature. And now I’m just dissapointed that it’s happened again, as I will not be purchasing a copy of forza 6 because it doesn’t have the garage share. I feel like I’ve missed out on forza on the next gen consoles because they continue to ignore the requests of people who still play local on the console.
Well the Splitscreen mode is almost the same as in Forza 5 and it really sucks, that they did not improve much ;(
The Splitscreenmode in Forza 4 was awsome, two players and at least two ai driver.
But Splitscreen in Forza 6 i feel cheatet, there is too much missing, weather, ai drivers, same garage usage, basicly i dont really consider forza 6 having a splitscreen mode,
so instead of playing with my buddy on the same couch he needs to stay at his some and we have to race together via online mode, but as i have real life frinds who like to come over to play this just sucks, so we play Forza 4 togehther.

Has the split-screen bug where you can’t add AI drivatars been fixed yet?
I’m really looking forward to buying FM6 but can’t justify the purchase when there are still major bugs like this.
Has this been confirmed as being a ‘bug’? I hope so, because it does render splitscreen gaming rather bland without AI racers to jostle with.
I doubt it’s a bug.

Both of these questions apply to 2 players playing on the same console. (Just to clear any confusion.)
So the first question.
Why doesn’t Forza 6 Split-screen include cockpit view? I mean, When you go to Free-play, and say you’re playing by yourself(at home) with 23 Computer controlled players, this includes cockpit view, whereas if you wanted to play with someone else(at home), say your bro, sister, dad, mum, friend, whatever. You can’t access cockpit view? I don’t actually see the trouble of not including cockpit mode for 2 consoled controlled players, when you already have cockpit mode for 1 console controlled player. Care to explain. Please.
For the second question.
Why doesn’t Forza 6 Split-screen include 23+ cars? I don’t understand why a 2 player console controlled split screen game can’t include 23 players. Forza 4 was the best game in my opinion, I mean, it didn’t have 23+ players, but it did have 2 players, it had all the cars, it had all the views, including cockpit, but I don’t really understand what’s gone wrong? I love Forza 6, like I mean the graphics, the career is fantastic! Although multiplayer, eh?
It has to be a bug. No other way to explain it.
AI was present in previous Forza split-screens.
THIS HAS TO BE FIXED!
It’s not a bug. There are several things that have been limited in split-screen to keep the game running at 60 fps.
Things that aren’t allowed in Split-Screen:
Cockpit Camera
Crowds of people in the stands
Night or Rain tracks
AI/Drivatars
