Hi does anyone know what cars I can use? I have tried a new camaro new viper and dodge dart and none of them counted towards this thanks for the help
Dodge dart does work. Go to career mode and vintage and american street muscle and buy cars and see what is listed.
Thanks had one game with the dart got a gold amazingly but the percentage on the challenge has not gone up.
Are you racing against humans or in private against AI? I got gold in a dart and it did go up.
Must be another human in the race though.
Does it have to be a standard car I did swap the engine over in it
Mine is the same used dodge dart and no percentage added
I used Dodge Dart last night and it worked. It seems it is glitchy for some people and not others.
why the T10 offers challenges to win gold medals in multiplayer?
you have played in multi player?
you did not realize that the multiplayer mode is a war?
matter not be good competitor or have the best tune set. wins the dirtiest and not the fairest competitor.

I didn’t have any problems getting the speed medal, i tuned a '69 Pontiac GTO for C-Class (Also an Oldsmobile for C).
I got a gold on pretty much every race, unless i got complete wiped out at the start.
In the video below i still got 1st place and was 15 seconds ahead at the end of the race.

I did it all in B class No Collision and the only problem I had was people using leaderboard cars aswell as cutting corners whenever possible, and after one race getting kicked for beating the field by a country mile and getting a clean lap on the Nurburgring + Gp in the process!
The achievement description says “Earn 20 medals in Multiplayer while driving in an American Street Muscle car” it does not say that you have to earn a gold medal for it to count. However you do need to earn a gold medal for the achievement bar to progress. I’m having some difficulty with this one since everyone seems to be using the Alfa Stradale and other fast and well handling cars. I don’t get it I played 6 races and out of those 6 races the guys would only use the Alfa Stradales, I mean winning matters to them this much? They don’t even drive the cars they love etc…
I looked at the American street muscle car career event to make sure that I was using the right cars. So far I have medaled with the Dodge Charger, Dodge Coronet twice and did not receive any percentage gained in the challenge so I thought there must be a problem with Dodge. So I switched to the GTO Judge, medaled, and received 0 percentage gained toward this challenge. What is up with this Turn 10? All races have been in class C multiplayer.
Wait… Did you read our comments and did you read the description of the achievement?
Does it work–ie does it count towards the challenge–if you create your own multiplayer lobby and only race AIs?
Just tried it myself, and what I was asking does NOT count towards the challenge.
Try it with one other human player and 14 ai.
As long as there is another human player in the lobby you get medals.
When Long Beach was released I needed a gold in multiplayer, kept getting put into lobbies with noone else in until I hit one with ONE other drive, he was AFK so I raced on and got my gold.
I swear I got credit for a silver medal in the Impala but I could be mistaken. I was 2nd in the race but there were only 9 cars. I have a killer long beach set up for the Impala. I may need to get all 20 of my medals on that track to pop this if gold is required. The 69 Nova seems like it should be the best out of the group of eligible cars and I just haven’t been getting it done with that car. Although I did just do some set up tweaking. Also doesn’t help when I was in gold medal position and got dash boarded on the last lap a little bit ago 
The Challenge Achievement “Speed Metal” say “earn 20 medals in multilayer while driving in an American Street Muscle car.” From what I’ve seen, currently at 55%, this only registers gold medals. anyone else having the same issue?? i have earned silver medals and then checked the progress of this achievement, and I’ve only seen it increase after a gold medal finish.
It is definitely for gold medals only.
