Why is it that you cant have special colors (gold,chrome, etc) under the colors of vinyl, but can paint the entire car said colors? I’m trying to get some gold 99 letters for my racecar and I am not savvy enough on the vinyl design tool to make a bordered number so the cars paint comes through. Basically I want the inside of the 99 to be gold and have a black border (Example of my car below)
Do the opposite…
paint the entire car gold, go into “apply vinyl” and make the 99 again,
this time go around the border of the 99 with whatever shapes work best as well as the rest of the car, ( only did the side for time sake)
then simply delete the 99 and viola … a gold 99, to place the black border just simple go around the outside with black shapes. ( This looks rough cause I did it quickly)
EDIT: A good way to do the black border is to once again place the 99 down, make it slightly smaller so there is a gold border around it, then just cover up the gold colour with black shapes.
This is sort of what I did with this paint, copied the Ferrari horse and name by filling it in with shapes.\
