Overall I am enjoying this game and there are a couple of stand-out positives which I’ll mention at the end.
However, this doesn’t prevent me from being able to acknowledge the negatives. There are quite a number of annoyances which should not be a problem and would be easy to fix.
Claiming/purchasing cars
This takes way too long. Christ, I just want to put the cars in my garage. It was not this bad in Horizon 3.
Wheelspin clothes/horns/emotes
As much as I like dressing up my guy to look like the biggest w*nker possible, all the junk in wheelspins negates any boon the super wheelspins could have otherwise provided.
Unskippable voice overs & interuptions
Probably my biggest gripe. This is giving me flashbacks to those annoying pricks in Dirt 3 whose drivel could not be skipped through.
Though not quite as offensive in Horizon 4, I do not need an explanation each time something is added to my map. Something was added to my map? Great, I’ll check it out when I have finished what I am doing.
There’s been multiple occasions where I’ve been travelling to a location and the map has popped up wanting me to select a route to somewhere I don’t want to go.

PC port
No SLI support and it will probably never come, which is disappointing.
That aside, the port performs very well. With a (single) GTX 1080, I’m getting 80-110 FPS in most scenarios with some scenarios dropping down to 70-85.
This is at 1440p with every set as high as it can go with a few exceptions (motion blur off, MSAA x2, FXAA off).
Im really hoping that once i finish getting all the cosmetics from wheelspins that i start getting cars and money. my friend who I started playing with last night racked up 3 million + from wheelspins i got less than 1m because i was too busy getting triple horns or tacky tee shirts.
It would be a considerable negative impact on my gameplay and progression if i start getting double, triple and quaduple ups of tacky pink shirts while my friend continues to roll in the millions and millions of credits
Car claiming does take way too long. FM7 had a great system. They should’ve implemented it into FH4. Yeah the amount of cosmetic items in wheelspins needs to be lowered and replaced with cash. It’s ridiculous. And yeah we should definitely be allowed to skip those interruptions. Cmon Forza it’s simple.
