Could the post race screens and timers be optimized?
After a race, we have many pages of content to get through, but very little time to do it. For example, the limited time to look at your time on the leaderboard. There have been a number of times I’ve had a really good lap mixed in with serveral laps dealing with rammers or lapped traffic, but I can’t see how good that itme is as if you get a DNF or a slow overall time, you have no time to check.
Or the limited time to vote on the next course, and no way to follow the voting once you have voted.
And then there are the follow up pages with where you placed and your rewards. Why is this multiple pages instead of have one page that sticks around longer so we have time to actually read it.
You guys are making great progress on cleaning up the in-game bugs, and I greatly appreciate it. I just hope you can find some time for some UI quality of life improvements as well.
You didn’t mention the most outrageous timer of all: the timer in the lobby between races. It’s supposed to be 59 seconds, but there’s literally no time to choose a car (between the black screen and the unresponsive garage, which they haven’t fixed despite the numerous patch notes in the past 3 updates, it’s roughly 10 or 20 seconds at max).
And what about changing setup, muting idiots, reporting bad behavior etc?
If you only race one car through all races or learned by heart how to get from one car to the other, you’re lucky.
I hear you! For cars that I use different builds/tunes with while racing, I usually buy one car for each tune to eliminate the wait. I did that in FM6 also. You shouldn’t have to, but it is the quickest way I’ve found, and even then in FM7, you can barely get in under the gun!
BTW: I’ve been running some A Class lobbies in FM6 lately and really been enjoying it. The car selection feels like lightning! LOL!
