Simple things missing

Just a few things I’ve noticed in my time with FH4…

  1. Why is it such a pain to use the Auction system. First everything was over-inflated, the new normal is everything is depressed in pricing due to the recent change and the massive flooding of rare cars from events. Not quite sure of the purpose of the AH, it just seems tacked on.

  2. WHY THE HELL can’t you cancel an Auction. Craziest idea so far…

  3. Loading times even with broadband for all the Auction and Livery pages are horrendously slow. Why? How is this even a thing??

  4. Whoever designed the UI needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. Easily one of the most awful UI’s I’ve ever had the displeasure of using in a game. The important stuff is hidden, the useless stuff is centre stage and the buttons are all over the place, even using the desired method of a controller is a pain.

  5. Livery editor. This while I guess it’s improved, seeing as you have access to PC’s now, just allow people to make and upload liveries using Photoshop or GIMP. Main reason I haven’t done many for the game is I don’t want to wast 20hrs on something that’d take me about 1hr in Photoshop. It would also help with creativity, though would require more accurate unwrapped models than the way the editor works.

  6. Transitions. Why is the game designed to have an open world lobby to the races? Surely there are better ways of dealing with this. Considering the pace the X999 and S2 cars travel the map is also incredibly small. Though can’t fault the detail’s, they are pretty cool
Many times the time of day for races that are supposed to inherit the currently world setting totally change from what it is. It’s a massive pain to go from menu to menu to menu just to change the car tunes and car parts. Again gotta be a better way to do this.

  7. Counting. Game can’t count. Needs fixing ASAP. People getting placed in wrong finishing positions and on the wrong teams when re-joining them is just silly to still be present after over a year.

  8. LAG. Why is the lag so bad in this title. I thought Shift 2 was bad, however this takes the cake. I really hope it’s not a P2P local host concept as that would be a very poor idea in 2019…

  9. Final note, despite the flaws above, it’s actually a great fun racing game. Just needs more fleshing out and a bit more TLC IMO. Look forward to seeing what’s on the horizon
