Honestly I liked him a little bit back in the early forza 4 days

I was subbed to him myself a looong while back, then I realized that I didn’t enjoy watching his videos and wondered why I had subbed in the first place. Lol

but then he started using his channel to promote modding on fm4 because it had gotten boring or some bs. I know it wasn’t him in the videos was some guy called destroyer but if its on your channel it represents you.

Promoting, let alone modding yourself is grounds for a ban from XBL. Why no one’s ever cracked down on him for it is beyond me, and the fact that Turn 10 turned a blind eye to him… It’s wrong in so many ways.

Also yeah his audience is mostly as immature as he is (Teamslap on facebook is just kids posting ferrari’s saying look at my new car) so I so to be honest I dunno how you can count them as fanbase to say that he is a great business choice for T10.

In that YouTube video I mentioned he said that he would reply to any of us from the forums in the comments section of his video (where he’ll have support). I commented explaining that I wasn’t the OP of the thread, and that telling his fanbase to harass people because a guy challenged him to a drift battle was ridiculous. We went back and forth for awhile, but in short it was me trying to restrain myself from cursing him out while he told me I was a waste of his time and I was an idiot. A number of his subs also joined in to call me various words, and (surprise) he didn’t tell them to stop. By the words they chose and the way they phrased their unpunctuated sentences, you could tell they were little kids. The kind of little kids that’ll purposely crash into you for scoring more drift points than them in their stickerbombed and hellaflushed GTRs.

All in all any of the above listed youtubers would have been miles better.

This is my opinion though and no doubt someone isn’t going to like this but I you don’t have to agree.

Ohhh, I agree with you. I’m just glad because I thought I was alone in disliking him (he does have 1 million subs after all), but it seems like we’re all in the same boat here.

I can understand that, as people do like to hate on furry fandom.

I must say, it was pretty brave of him to embrace it knowing how much flak he’d take.

As for EK’s accent, not really an issue.

If I watched a lot of his videos I’d probably be able to understand him just fine, but as is, I miss quite a few words. I’m just saying it’s harder for me to understand him than someone like Alex from FailRace.

He (Aero) is one of the best Forzas drift youtubers about, and would have added a lot more to that livestream than slap did.

Without a doubt.

Spitsy is one of the most well known drifters about, but then that is because he is really good at it. He hasn’t really posted much stuff for FM6 though, so it is highly possible he has just moved on from the franchise.

That’s what I mean, Spitsy actually knows how to drift and how to tune for drifting. Slap just adds every single upgrade, randomly moves sliders around, then throws the car into a spin. If he does manage to hold it, his line is messy and usually leads him off the track or into a wall. It’s cringeworthy at best.

…(PewDie) is who Slap is essentially trying to copy, what with all the incoherence that comes from the both of them.

He (Alex/FailRace) has a fairly decent youtube following to be fair.

I used to watch them all the time actually.

But as I said, there was also Vintage Beef; who has worked with T10 in the past on Forza Fuel. He would have been a good youtuber to have picked in this regard.

I’ve never watched a single one of his videos so I can’t comment. I believe you though.

It was most likely the moderators on here that banned him, so not really a sign on how T10 themselves feel about Slap.

I know, but the Mods more or less represent Turn 10 on these forums, and they decided he shouldn’t be allowed to post. While it wasn’t Turn 10 themselves, it’s as close as it gets.

As for the rest of it, this is exactly why Slap has barely any respect from the actual drifting community (not that there is much of that community left now).

There’s barely a Forza community left, let alone the drifting portion of it. : /

It is what is it though, and T10 are going to work with the people they believe can benefit them.

Can’t blame 'em, he has the most subs of all the Forza YouTubers by a long shot, but I still wish they would’ve gone with someone else.

I think his accent is easy for me to hear, as my brother in law is from Cork in Ireland, which is way down at the bottom. His accent is a lot stronger than EK’s, so I am used to that type of accent.

Not being a Drift follower myself.

Drifting is actually a fantastic thing. I used to do only racing/hotlapping, and then eventually I decided to try drifting. I gained an invaluable understanding of weight transfer, traction, and just general physics, developed excellent car control, learned how to tune, and it’s tons of fun. Just try to have fun with it and don’t take it too seriously; I think you’d get a kick out of it.

Oh, and building yourself an obnoxious driftcar is mandatory. ; )

I can actually understand Irish no problem, but Scottish throws me every time. Get EK to eat Lucky Charm’s before making his videos, maybe that’ll do the trick for me. Lol

I’ve actually had you on my friends list since I tried out for Apex on FM4 a few years back. I failed the tryouts, but you never removed me. Probably out of sympathy. Lol

So it makes sense to use a “popular” YouTube celeb to sell your wares…been if he’s not a “real” drifter…

Slaptrain isnt really liked by the competitive drifting community, as he used to have a habit of coming to the forums and begging for idea’s when his channel was still really small; and then not give any credit for those idea’s. As well as taking idea’s from smaller Forza youtubers and running with them, again, not giving credit where it was due.

Also had a rather foul mouth about Turn 10 and Forza Motorsport/Horizon when his channel was hosted live on the Forza Twitch channel, I’ll leave my views of him at that. But I’m surprised he gets the support.

Turn 10 never said we were getting a new car, Ryan Tuerck did. On his Facebook page in a comment reply, he said yes to someone asking if we were getting his new car in a car pack.
