RWD RUF requires clutch to get top times, but AWD just manual?

I made a post about this right before the forum switched. lol

I’ve had a few people mention to me that the best times they could get with even my latest Yellowbird tune was far slower than it should be. Found out a few nights ago that if you try to drive it using just manual, it’s around a half second slower in the mile. The AWD RUF does not have this issue. If anything the AWD is faster without clutch. My R874 RWD Yellowbird tune named “RWD DRAG 19.517” is capable of 19.450 in the mile (I named it, shared it, then got a faster time), 12.050 in the half and 7.733 in the quarter, but it can only do it if you use clutch. All my tunes are geared so you just yank full throttle from the load screen and don’t let go. I always drive with clutch, so I didn’t know there was such a discrepancy in times until I was playing with Legion and Wookie the other day. Clutch was always quicker in previous Forzas, so that isn’t so strange. What I find really strange is that the top AWD times seem to almost all be done without clutch.

Are all the cars like this or is it just the RUF or just the gearing? anyone know?

It has been my overall experience so far that AWD cars run better and more consistent with manual only where as RWD cars run better and more consistent with manual/clutch.

This definitely seems to be the case. I could not get a decent launch to save my life with the AWD RUF that you and Legion were working on. I then changed first gear and was able to drive it, but nowhere near as quick as you guys. I tried just manual, but I don’t like it. I feel lost without my clutch. lol

I agree, that seems the case. With your R Tune I ran a 19.900 with no clutch. With my AWD Ruff I ran a 19.567 and 19.584 with just manual.

So I heard someone hacked the servers. Go figure. lol
