I can’t see how rwd a class is by far the most common drift adventure. Are people seriously wanting rwd a over s1 s2 rwd? Or even either awd? I can’t stand rwd A and i prefer rwd over awd. RWD A class is exhausting to play. The cars barely have enough power to be able to drift let alone maintain a nice drift line on long turns. It’s not fun yet 7 out of 10 lobbies i get into are rwd A class. It’s ridiculous.
See im the opposite… I think Class A is the best.
It’s way too easy to drift in FH4, atleast with the lower class cars it seperates the men from the boys.
I want too see a B class maybe even a C!
I have a car that can drift pretty well in C Class! … not as grippy as I would like but definitely good enough to have fun in …
I was messing with it recently but not sure if I shared the tune
A good A class is perfectly achievable with so many cars available in FH4 - I probably have one in the garage
admittedly most of my favourite drift cars are low S1 ![]()
I guess if I did the drift adventure regularly I would probably have a suite of cars to use … I do remember trying to get ranked and basically putting AWD with a huge RWD bias so they effectively behaved like RWD.
If I were you I would tune up a A class RWD (or even AWD with the bias I described) and save them as favourites to use in Drift Adventure … job done!
Right : had a quick check …
For A-Class I have a Morris Minor Traveller … don’t laugh! …it’s an absolute peach … really good drift scores & good handling (cheap to buy too) -Tune shared
The C-Class I have is A Triumph Spitfire -like I said above it is not as grippy as I would like but that’s the sacrifice to squeezing it into C-Class - it definitely drifts you just have to be more careful with corner speed (the tune is shared but it is more of a “Work in progress” - It is OK as it is but I reckon it has more to offer)
So it could just be your choice of cars or their tune …?
Try my Morris and tell me it barely has enough power ![]()
It’s fun to take it to Fortune island and mix it with the JDM drifters …
I have a Volvo 850 estate as another A Class drifter … works well - it is beige and has the obligatory ‘baby on board’ sticker on the back ![]()
Q
It’s not that A class rwd is not achievable or something I can’t do. Trust me I am adept in all four drift adventure classes. You can check ranked leaderboards and see if you doubt me. I have about 30 a class rwd cars i tune and use. Its just my preference to drift s1-s2 because you can actually drift those long gently arcing turns with minimal transitions. A class cars just can’t get to the speed necessary in time due to the fact that you either get more engine or good tires cuz you can’t have both and still be under A800. I personally like the high scores and more technical aspect of s1-s2 because i use sim steering. I just don’t see how people would prefer the low power version that you have to switch back and forth to keep a drift going.
“I just don’t see how people would prefer the low power version that you have to switch back and forth to keep a drift going”
This is exactly how it is in real life with a low HP car. You just have to through it into the corners more with more speed and plenty of clutch.
Forza powerbands are pretty unrealistic so 400hp is like 150hp lol
I don’t doubt you but you said A class barely had enough power and were exhausting
Give me an example of a turn that you can’t do in A-Class but you can in S1/S2 so I can understand
For example on Broadway, the first three left turns can be done entirely in one single drift line with a S class RWD car. I am pretty sure it cannot be done using a A class RWD car. I use Shelby Monaco S2 -967 1515hp and can literally match most people’s AWD scores because it has the powerful acceleration and tires that allow it to actually utilize the torque efficiently. A class cars have to sacrifice either power or tires because you can’t have both. Ultimately you’re either spinning your tires and barely getting anywhere (not as fast anyway) or your having to throw your back end at ever corner just to lose traction and get them spinning.
Knowing how to feint drift isnt mandatory but it is a damn good tool for low hp drifting.
There’s way to many other factors involved then just talking about A-Class. Techniques, setup, original starting class for car used and a lot more but probably the more important a balanced build and if you can hit the numbers you aim for with out going over the top with swaps you can keep the rating down even lower by just being more efficient and not just overpowering through everything. Hell anything drifts fine as long as you know what you’re doing, I remember back in 4 we used to mess around stage C Kaido with stock powered AE86’s with just suspension/rear end/trans/weight. That 100hp went a long way as long as you could keep the speed up or else its instantly over.
