I managed to drain the tank of an RR Wraith in 1.5 laps of Goliath. I was on the return stretch from the Outback, right before the first left hander that goes down hill into a hairpin and it just gave up.
Post patch and before I noticed the note about fuel being removed, I ran a stock Tesla, wondering if I could drain the charge, I didn’t get any feedback on if it did occur, but tyre wear on lap 3 hit 100% on both rears and I gave up halfway through lap 4 when all 4 were gone.
So I sorta agree, if one is out so should the other or they are both in and there is a mechanism that allows refuels and tyre changes.
Also fuel is missing from telemetry as far as I could see.
Just the latest example of Forza’s proud tradition of halfway-implemented features
I love these games, but I’m not afraid to call a spade a spade. There are quite a few examples of under-baked ideas in FH3, it’s almost like the game has ADHD.
Yeah but why have it and then remove it, especially running on Simulation. However gas stations would be really appreciated, sadly they probably wont add em.
there are multiple ways to refuel
1-go to festival
2-fast travel
3-they make the gas staion in coober pedy usable and they add more
also saying that about gas is like me saying tire wear is useless in this game because there is no place to get new tires.
i have also been begging to be able to run out of gas and have the stop running since fh2.
T10 And playground you need to make fuel consumption a thing again!
Its also weird they removed it cause diffrent cars lost gas quicker or slower than others, like muscle car lost much fuel. To implement something like that and then remove it is odd
Also like in GEARING theres some text “A higher final drive ratio provides better acceleration. A lower ratio gives top speed and fuel economy.” So lets just forget that fuel exist?
They updated it and allow you to keep driving so you’re not deep into a long Goliath race only to run out of gas. It was easier for them to update this than implementing a refueling system into the game.
This is an all or nothing situation. Theres no way to refuel during a race, theres no pit stops. They should get rid of tire wear as well since once again during a race theres no way to change your tires. So going to a festival, fast traveling and gas stations wont help.
Theyd have to come up with a whole new game mechanic for a feature such as this. Theyd need to add more gas stations, theyd need to charge for gas and possibly for new tires and repairing the car.
Then theyd need some sort of system in a race that allows you to refuel and/or fix your damage like you pull over fix the car but a time penalty is added because it wouldnt be realistic either to just press a button and your back to 100%.
So as i said its all or nothing. You cant be realistic in one way but not others. Maybe its something theyll do in the future but i doubt it because options like these kind of go against the purpose of the game. Its not a racing game like motorsport, it is while not as arcadish more akin to a test drive or need for speed.
I still dont see why on one hand you guys want more “realism” yet you want to willingly run out of fuel, which in reality is the last thing anyone would ever do. Its not realistic to “fast travel” and get more gas. Realistic is getting towed away, or walking to a gas station and filling up a little can of gas as people are staring at you shaking their head because theyre thinking what kind of idiot runs out of gas.
so about being easy now?
thats like a car company saying putting the engine in a car is difficult so lets sell all of our cars without engines but for the same price as one with it.
Lol thanks its not that its not possible, but as i said it’d have to be a fully fleshed out system which wouldnt fit into their “design”. Im all for more realism but the truth is 99% of people play with cosmetic damage in this game as well as the motorsport series which is why we dont see any changes really made. Would it be a cool mechanic, i think so but in the larger scheme of things itd be a lot of work for nothing.
