Good gravy, it was down when I got F5 as well, never did get to race ghosts in Time Attack events. It would still pay out in Exp and Creds for laps and post to the leaderboards but no ghosts.
I was REALLY looking forward to it in F6, which I am only just starting to play later today. I will love what I CAN play, but BAH! If this is still an issue it is very disappointing.

Nothing yet. This game just went games with gold…and it is only one version behind. It would be a real shame to not have this option. It affects the main game, Porshe, and Nascar
Hope they didn’t discontinue it, I kind of like the format of this one. Just downloaded yesterday with Gold (already have 5 & 7 as well as Horizon 3 & 4, so might as well fill in the blank and I can use the easy achievements for the Microsoft rewards bonus). Also just noticed the expansion packs (every upgrade they have) is available for $4.99 if you have gold. May get that as well.
I did indeed buy that mega pack right after I finished the 3 qualifying races to begin the game. It truly is an amazing deal, it’s not just the Nascar & Porche expansions and all of the other various DLCs but you also get the VIP membership as well. so now I will earn a lot more in-game creds for racing. Once I grabbed all of the DLC and expansion cars from the free section of the “buy cars” menu (which took FOREVER but was SO worth it!) I ended up with 147 cars garaged before I’ve even run any career races, free play or Rivals, any of it! NICE way to start, I feel car rich.
Regarding this issue, that DOES make it that much worse for me because it also effects the Nascar and Porche expansions from what a previous poster says.
Thank goodness there are so many campaign and Showcase events, considering Rivals is borked. But rats, Rivals is where I would like to get used to new cars, tunes and learn tracks. I know I can work it in Free Play but it won’t be the same.
they worked before it went free on gwg … what a shame… now only appear " function disabled " on every rivals…
Give it some time, this sort of stuff happens whenever the Forza games go GWG, sharing a design is also not working, I couldn’t join the Rally Day Heroes league lobbies and something as a simple as creating a private lobby took 3 ‘Game server allocation failed’ messages and an infinite loading screen forcing me to restart the game before it finally worked.
Well…I’d have some faith but when it happened for Forza 5 they never fixed it. Only it’s even worse this time because in F5 you at least got to run most Rivals events with ghosts (such as I Can Do That in a Van) and you could use Time Attack to practice hot lapping while earning some creds and Affinity and it would still post to the leaderboards. This time Rivals is just completely borked, just turned off entirely.
I would love them to fix it but I think I should just forget about it and enjoy the 3 campaigns (main, Nascar, Porche) and their Showcases. Thank goodness that is still a LOT of content.

Yeah, I’ve had the same issue. It’s been down a week now. Hopefully Rivals will be available soon as it’s a great option to have once you’ve completed career mode. At least multiplayer seems to be working ok.
I haven’t bought or downloaded anything for more than 3 months sooooo…
Hey Dev guys, top many players enjoying fm6 Live Gold and trying close 100% of achievements but we need rivals mode working for this, don’t let this mode die pls, not now with the game in live Gold and too many people playing…

Same thing rivals clicked on any variation and says not available very disappointing

Once the campaign is completed Rivals and multiplayer are everything (apart from tuning and painting obvi) Turn 10 please fix my game. Please fix it soon, thank you for listening
