You’re going 188.5. I’m going 189. If I tap you, I get critical damage. That’s insane. I could understand ±5-10mph difference, but 1-2 or less? Come on. I’ve been tboned at 170 and taken less damage. Fix asap.
The damage system itself is a bit…dodgy…I smashed into walls with nothing happening but a slight tap can give you 100% all around…
Also I haven’t seen any damage between 0% and 100%…I remember in FM4 a slight tap ave you like 10% damage, while in FM6 it seems you wreck something totally or not at all.
Someone thought it would be a good idea to turn on damage for the leagues, but it’s not really and causing more DFN’s than ever. In the Trofeo league I had to DFN out of four races before being able to score some points, all due to being rear ended and sustaining damage that rendered the car inoperable. What’s the point of that!!! At least with damage off you can scamper away unscathed from horrendous crashes and rejoin the bloody race man. Has it altered driver behavior, somewhat, but not by much as drivers are still as vindictive as ever when it comes to being tapped - that hasn’t changed at all !! TURN DAMAGE OFF for Multiplayer League!!!
Maybe you should make it to the pits and try to catch up, I’ve done it several times.
I think if it was always damage on, it would eventually alter behaviour. You’ll always have idiots, but there should be a damage multiplier that ramps up the more crashes you are in. That would make wreckers cars effectively glass. lol
But as it is right now, it’s not been on long enough for it to affect behaviour en masse.
I have noticed the same, my friends and i were at Daytona tri-oval bump drafting, with a min bump i took heavy damage and went into the wall finishing my race…why? It just doesnt make sence at all.
What car were you in, the lambos for league?
There not really designed to bump draft
I’ve not tried it drafting. We should set some thing up to test it may be car related or just the shifty damage system at play. Clearly something is up with the damage system. It’s like a wheel spin as to what kind of damage is applied to you, it fairly all or nothing.
they implemented a damage system thats meant to stop rammers, the rammer gets the damages while the rammed just feels a bump. now this doesn’t happen every time but the amount of times we have run a fun bumper car race at the end of a night and ramming only damages your car.
i even rammed a guy full on from behind while he was doing about 60 i was 200 flat out and he got a massive boost to 150mph in a second while my car was wrecked.
Its meant to stop ppl pushing you off in races but sadly it means a tap and your off like a rocket, lol
Well it must really be like a wheelspin because I would never gotten the speed boost with out damage. And almost always have damage when hit from behind.
There the 10% chance of a what, I don’t have damage, sweet. But the vast majority are some form of damage and springs seem to be good or 100% bad.
