Rev limiter bouncing on gear change

Hi there. I’m new to the forum and forza 6. the game is excellent. I’m playing it with a logitech g920 with shifter. I have since noticed in my career mode that every time I change gear it goes to neutral for a split second and bounces into the rev limiter even if I’m not in the red before a gear change. This is becoming very annoying. I tried a test drive out of career mode and the problem stopped. I’ve since been back on career mode and even bought a couple of new cars and completed all tracks in a section and started a new one to see if the problem would be fixed in different powered cars but it hasn’t. I would appreciate the help to fix the problem.

Kind regards
Davey

Sounds like to me that the Logitech isn’t calibrating correctly. I’ve not got that wheel, but have you updated the software via your pc. (if you can).
If you disconnect the shifter and use the paddles do you incounter the same problem?

Thanks for the reply mate. I’ll do this tonight after work and see if it helps. I will let you know asap. Thanks

I have the G920 and I know my shifter sometimes reads the wrong gear. I’ll have the stick in 1st gear, but the game thinks I’m in 3rd. Happens a lot on Horizon 2, Haven’t really seen it in FM6 though.

Do you lift off the throttle?

Just turn the clutch on. Since you’re new to forza you probably have no idea about the manual clutch and how use it to your advantage. I only play with a controller so I have my clutch mapped to the A button. What you want to do is shift and clutch at the same time and never lift off the throttle at all. So all you have to do on a controller is press two buttons at once with your thumb by putting your thumb in between both buttons. It may sound hard on paper but it’s really easy.

All sorted guys. Looks like me or my mates were probably messing around with the tuning settings when drunk on Saturday lol. I restored the tuning options back to default and it looks to have solved the problem. This would explain when I was test driving the problem wasn’t occurring. Thanks
