Once again the rest of the world has to look on as American players get another challenge for them and them alone, does the fact we also spent our hard earned cash on the Xbox One plus Forza 5 mean nothing or are we just the second class citizens of the xbox live world. If they have the bottle to let this up on the forums I would like to hear from the rest of the planet even if Microsoft and Turn 10 don’t, I look forward to hearing from you all. Cheers.
The horror! Quick someone write a song about our plight!
WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!
but of what challenge are we talking about?
The new Honda challenge I’m guessing?
Totally agree it sucks! But is it the sponsors rather than T10 / Microsoft? Although surely they’re able to get sponsors outside of The States???
If it is the Honda Challenge, that is the sponsor’s choice of marketing, not a Turn 10-controlled situation. Just like the German even a while back where the winner won a real car, or the French competition before that, or . . .
Time to get real and understand sponsors target areas for their own promotional interests, and it isn’t up to the game creators to specify where the events are allowed legally by regulations well beyond the jurisdiction of Turn 10, Microsoft Game Studios or Xbox LIVE.
This right here!
+1 Never ceases to amaze me when people see T10 as some sort of pantomime villians or something.
some times it is turn ten or ms tho. i can remember being upset the fm3 collectors edition was not offered in the usa at all. then the euros got mad a year or two later when fm3 ultimate was released only for the usa. some of their decisions do have me scratching my head. the euros didn’t gain anything by not offering me the collectors edition. i didn’t gain anything by not offering them ultimate. i bought another 360 because it said “two complete games” on the box, forza and skyrim. when i realized it was forza essentials, a demo and not the full game…i was angry again. i probably would have been happy if the box had said an extended demo even. but i was thinking about what i didn’t have not what i did have. people dont like thinking they are not getting what they paid for.
Wasn’t there just a contest for France only? And the Pizza Hut promotion was intended for England. In FM4 there was some contest that was for Germany only. So they are reaching out worldwide. I am sure that there will be more to come promotions/contests for those outside the US.
Yes, yes, yes and yes. Will some people get it that contests are held other places in which people the USA are excluded? Maybe not.
UK gets cheap Pizzas…Germans get cars…lol
The world could surely unite for a much better cause. In this case, you are simply out of luck.
Blame your country’s legal system or the sponsor’s intended audience.
I’d venture a guess this is all a ploy to get men in the American 18-35 range to consider looking into a sporty Honda instead of other competitors. When I was 16, the Si honda civic was the thing to get. 12 years later, not so much.
Same goes with the Veloster introduction. The car didnt have the hype of the FRS and thus Americans could take part in a competition to win a new one, but also “test drive” it and customize it as deemed fit in the game.
Seems like a repeat but with different rules and different brands.
oh I found it…well it is not like your losing that much of a challenge…driving all that miles in that car hoping to be picked randomly doesn’t seem fun to me.
The car is really good online though. While the challenge is easy, a side benefit could be some great finishes and races online.
I’m sorry if it sounded like I was implying the car is bad. I just had a few laps on the Mugen but I haven’t tried this one yet, anyway I’m sure that with the right tune is a good car. It’s the contest rules that doesn’t seem that appealing to me.

It’s the option of taking part in this competition but there are no options, THATS THE POINT
MS Canada, so far has/had nothing related to FM.
