Great day of racing yesterday! Started watching F1 at 5:30 AM and ended it at 8:30 PM with the 600. I was upset to see Ham’s crew make the call to bring him in and he had a right to be very upset. It’s not the first time it’s cost him a win, but I’m sure it won’t be the last either. As for the 500, I was happy to see Montoya get a second victory, but sad that the Andretti curse continues. The Honda’s were just outpowered and no way to take the Chevy’s. I think the highest running Honda all race was Munoz in 4th. Chevy has just a huge aero advantage on the higher speed ovals. But it was also great to see Jeff Gordon lead the field to the green in the pace car. That was an awesome moment. Unfortunately, he had a crappy night in the 600. I felt bad for Truex Jr. because he had the best car from halfway on, but like John said, it’s not always the best car that wins. Hats off to Carl for getting a win finally with Gibbs and it was nice to see the back flip once again. Just wish Gordon would have had a better night in his last 600.
