RVM takes a look at Formula One Mexico, NASCAR Martinsvile, the November DLC Clue Thread, the Story Behind the Photo and a relic from America’s past that you may not have known existed.

Now I have to run and get a mic stand so I can kill it in Rock Band 4 properly tonight. Wish me luck, not that I need it.

Jeff Gordon 6 time champion? Are you including his 1990 USAC National Midgets series championship, and his 1991 USAC Silver Crown series championship? Cause when it comes to NASCAR, he only has 4 Cup Championships (1995, 1997, 1998, 2001). Otherwise nice article.

As for what Matt Kenseth did, that was inapropriate and bad for NASCAR. I’m a firm believer in rubbing is racing. Sometimes you’ve got to move someone out of your way when they are slow and blocking. Done properly a good rub means that the other guy only loses his one position maybe 2. Joey Lagono wrecked Kenseth, cause Kenseth wasn’t fast enough to be first and he was blocking. It could have been accomplished better with out wrecking and still moving Kenseth out of the way. Still at least it was two hard drivers going for the win. Kenseth’s retaliation however was uncalled for. He was several laps down and not running for the win and not in position to win a championship. His action was plainly childish and immature as what Harvick did at Talledega. Kyle Busch once got suspended for a whole weekend for doing the same to Ron Hornaday Jr. at a NASCAR truck race when Ron was running a championship, and Busch came close to losing his cup ride and his sponsor.

Good luck and try not to trip over your pants

Great article John except for the mishaps in the Nascar area. I was going to correct you on Gordon having 6 championships, but NASidney beat me to it. He does have 6 championships, but as a car owner of Jimmie Johnson’s 48. I am a huge Gordon fan and have been since '91 when he was in the Busch Grand National Series(now the Xfinity series). It was pure bliss not only to see him win his 9th race at Martinsville, but also because that track means so much to the Hendrick organization and the biggest reason, punching his ticket into the final four going for the championship at Homestead. In Gordon’s words, “We’re going to Homestead!!!” What a celebration last night! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a celebration that big after a win. It was awesome to see!

As for the incident involving Kenseth and Logano; let me first say I can’t stand Logano and that I was as happy as the crowd to see that. On the flip side, what Kenseth did was uncalled for and Nascar needs to take action. They need to let the drivers and teams know they won’t stand for this type of retaliation. What went on at Kansas was under different circumstances and I’m not saying what Logano did there was okay, but they were fighting for the lead. Kenseth was laps down on Sunday and had no business being out on the track at all. I think Nascar needs to stand up and park Kenseth for the next race to set an example.

Thanks for the correction. I should have specified. Yes, FOUR NASCAR championships.

You guys rock!
