Ranked Adventure Grandmaster

Just wondering if anyone on here has ever achieved it?

League 5, top 3 globally for anything goes. I’ve actually played against the GMs though. All rammers and wallriders. Go figure

From what I’ve seen and heard all the top racers in ranked and such are wallriders and rammers…the mods should add a Wallriders & Rammers Lounge to the forum so they can discuss “tactics” and “strategy”…

Speak for yourself not all ranked racers r wallriders and rammers try doing ranked and see for yourself you may jus fit into that category

Are you one of these rare CLEAN racing grandmasters?

You really don’t see THAT much wallriding and ramming in Grandma Driving’s videos, e.g.

Okay, he's not a GM, but he's not a huge way off.

But what I don’t understand is how he’s racing against such low ranked opposition? The profile of scores isn’t much different to some races I’ve been in. I’d assumed that with a score around 4000 he’d be racing with people in the 3500-4500 range, but that’s not the case there, which is why it’s so easy for him to do well.

I’ve ran against Grandma numerous times, I know he’s good but yes like you said not a GM. I mean the tippy top GMs that I have played against do wallride and ram. I have no reason to lie

He used the words “ranked racers” so he probably doesn’t even know what a grandmaster is.

I had avoided Team Adventure after only spending an hour trying it after launch. Then a few weeks ago few of my club members talked me into going back into MP to race enough to get into Ranked matches. So few races and I can finally participate in Ranked so they queue up our group and we wait…and wait…and wait some more…I’m normally a very patient person but I just told them “See you guys I’m going back to FH3 and I’ll be in a Online Adventure in less than a few minutes and probably have completed a championship before you guys even get to race.” I enjoy online racing and yes I try to race as clean as possible and even known to give up my position after have contact with another racer. I however don’t see the point of sitting around waiting on a race with class and type I’m likely not to enjoy when I can get in FH3 have a much better chance getting into a race quickly and class and type I do enjoy.

All those noobs from that club where the members are all grandmasters are wallriders/rammers. I just wanted some friction on walls and ranked to be played on ghost mode, it would take all the trash back where it belongs.

it is like saying that not all people owning a Murcielago are rich people. When you own one you are tagged rich
if you are grand master you are tagged grand rammer wall rider master.
Possibly unfair for very few, I would have preferred the opposite but that is the way it is in FH4.

What I don’t get is how people are a Grandmaster with 1 win and 0 losses. If you look on the leaderboards almost all of the Grandmasters are in the same club and some of them only have one or two wins but are Grandmaster. So I don’t know if they found an exploit or what but the whole system is a mess. Makes me not even want to try when I win 3 races in a row but lose rating because my team lost. Its like they are encouraging you to wreck the other team…

That’s just wins this series, the rank carries over from the previous series once you do your first race of the current series. You do really need to get together with other good players if you want to compete at the very highest level, otherwise you’ll just keep losing because of people on your side deliberately causing the team to lose because they want to strategically lower their rank. I expect most people will switch to the solo mode when it becomes available for this reason, and the team adventure will be mainly played by organised teams rather than individuals.

Wait so you’re saying the ranks don’t reset each series? I literally haven’t done ranked since I was so disappointed with the first series. So these people just automatically get the top prizes this series. That’s even worse… I figured you had to go through the 10 qualifying races again at least. Either way the rewards just aren’t worth the frustration of relying on random people. I get you can try to coordinate this stuff but finding drivers of that quality isn’t easy, especially if they don’t wall ride or ram.

Edit Also I’m a little skeptical of the solo series, it sounds like it will be Anything goes and include playground games as well as racing. I hope they make it so you can just do racing solo but we’ll see.

You can see your score in the Xbox app, in Achievements, then League Rating. It stays the same when a new series starts, but in game you show as unranked. When you do your first adventure of the series, you gain or lose points relative to that hidden rating, to give your new visible rating. So yes, if someone is at 5000, there’s really no reason for them to do anything more than 1 carefully orchestrated adventure with their teammates, any more just risks losing a massive number of points (I lost 300 points in one adventure when we had 6 players against 4, which the game seems to think is a huge advantage rather than disadvantage).

don’t forget it is team win/loose not player win/loose, many groups organize with bests heading to win the race and get the 50 extra points while some take care of ramming to push maximum player out. Remember that one single player leaving the race is automatic 600 points for the team.

I wonder to what extent it is possible to fill a ranked CS with people of the same club this killing the whole thing, just a thought.

No the ranks do NOT reset. I’ve been league 5 in anything goes and i’ve barely played that lobby the last 2 weeks. Been focusing on road racing but I cant get past league 9

I just checked my rating on the app. 3868 is my league rating. I dont know exactly how that is compared to the rating on the actual game though

Out of interest, if you race Lakehurst Forest Sprint in your best S2 car, in summer/dry, with difficulty New Racer to get a clear run, what time can you do? Obviously your score is very good, and despite what people say about it all being about ramming and wallriding, my feeling is there is a reasonable connection between driving standard and TA score, so I’m expecting you to be faster than me, but maybe a little slower than GD. I’ve done 2:37.6, GD 2:34.6 with the FXX. My score has gone down this series, and the standard has noticeably dropped now I’m racing against people with lower scores. If I race unranked, I win most races, often by a big margin.

The one other thing that bugs me, we still dont know how scores/ranks are calculated. Will it be tallied up the same way in solo adventure? I would like to know if I need clean race for a better score or bank the best skill chain+win the race. These are simple things we need to know.

Regarding the sprint, I’ll try it when I get home. So just aim for 2:40 or better. I use a 918 for winter, my main S2 for any other season is my P1. I’ll do a couple runs to see what time I get and i’ll report back
